What Should I Use To Clean The Lcd Screen?

There are some marks on the screen (not really scratches, though there might be a couple). What should I do to get them out?

Get some LCD cleaner and a microfiber cloth --- or just don't use Windex.

how the hell did you mark your screen may i ask?
I have no idea. Some are in the shape of little droplets, maybe from sneezing, even though I sneeze away. There's a more randomish mark in the mid upper-right section. No idea what that could've been from. I've only touched the screen 2-3 times on accident and have had it in my pocket or under a blanket/on my bed a couple times.

EDIT: Most of the time it's in a Nintendo DS carrying case. I don't leave it out overnight, but I do during the day even if I'm not playing it.

so its not actually the LCD which is marked its the screen protector?

let me guess, you havnt peeled of the thin vinyl layer covering the screen? hence the bubbles?

Yeah, scratch abit around the edges and you will see there is a very thin vinyl layer... you will wonder how neat your screen looks afterards ;)

Hmm. I guess you're right. Because I notice hair which appears to be in/on the screen that I can't actually get off right now.

But if I peel it off, how would I protect it?

your gp2x should come with a screen protector in the box. There is film on both the actual screen and the protector. Peel both off and stick the protector on. If your protector does get scratched, you can always replace it with a new one avail. at pretty much any of the gp2x distributers (approx. $5.95 US)

Yeah, mine did come with one of those. Is there a layer over the hard part that's on the other side of the sticky paper? Because it seems like the surface is all scratchy.

Sorry about that. I didn't mean to ask questions that you already answered in that text I quoted... Just been kinda out of the loop lately.

I don't know if I'll even put the screen protector on since I hear all this stuff about dust getting in and it being difficult to take the screen protector off. As long as I get a decent case I shouldn't get too many scratches.

I suggest you get one.. tie back/cover your hair, apply it after taking a bath/shower [consedation makes dust particles very low].

If you dont then you will go through hell, I had a gp32 non lite unit and it didnt have any protection. It was horribly scratched soon after and im a preson who takes care of their belongings :) Then i sold it.. and the kid got some wierd glass filler that worked in it, even though it was a plastic lcd screen.

I just breath on it and then use my shirt. Works really well on my neogeo pocket which is 5 years old so I guess it will work on the GP2X.
