Do you think we'll ever see a port of the original PC version of RE on the GP2X? To me, it seem's slightly possible but very doubtful at the same time..

Even though the chances do seem rather low, I'd be one very happy person if this were to appear on the GP2X. Would save me from 'maybe' forking out money for a DS for the new Deadly Silence RE.

Chances are not "low", they are "none" unless you consider non-playable emulation a possibility. Just get a DS.

I have wondered at if it would be possible (don't flame me for this, hear me out) to get a DS emulator on the GP2X like there is for the pc. Not one that runs the COMMERCIAL DS games, but one that runs some of those homebrew games being made for it. That'd be useful and might be possible, IMHO.

sure, it'd be possible to port a DS emulator.
anything's possible.

forget the fact that they don't run very well on much faster PCs, and stand almost no chance of running well on our system--those factors don't at all influence the possibility of DS emulation on gp2x.

it's more reasonable to start a survival horror game from scratch, however. Which might not be a bad idea in the future.

No need to go sarcastic. I just said I WONDERED at it if it was possible.

It's more possible because the DS uses similar hardware (Duel Arm9). But the whole idea gets shot to peices when you consider the vertex accelerator (semi 3d accelerator) and the duel widescreens.

Maybe in a few years when it's PC emulators are more efficient, you'll see something weak on the gp2x.

Cross your fingers for playable GBA first.

Of course, not all DS programs take advantage of Dual screens believe it or not. XD

Yea, the development on VBA for the 2X stopped, but the dev had said he would try porting GPAdvance, and I haven't heard a word from him since. I hope he's making progress...

Yeah the Resident Evil that exists on the GP32 is great, I'm sure if you're that desperate you can convert that into a full game. All the hard work is already done...Well some of it anyway (enemies will be hard)

Since it was on the GP32, is there hope of a GP2X port?

IIRC it wasn't a full port on the GP32, just the hall at the start of the game that you could walk around. It would be impressive if someone could expand that into a full game, as it stands it's just an impressive-looking demo :(

I'm certain there was one or two other screens too... Upstairs definatly. Maybe the side room too.
A problem I had with it was lack of character scaling
