Hi, i've just uploaded a new version of phamicom-gp2x, a port of the NES emulator.

== Changes ==

v.0.2

- Using rlyeh's minlib instead of SDL
- Improved speed. Now all games I tested are playable

If you want to try you can download it from my homepage: http://elligre.tk/madelman/index.php/gp2x/

Please, report any bugs you might find. There's a readme where i've listed all current issues which will be solved in next versions.

Hope you like it.

I've just sent my GP2x off to be fixed, so unable to test this one: how does it compare to NK's nes emu, both in terms of speed, and in terms of Compatibility (I recall a lot of emus have trouble with Konami games like Nobunaga 2, and I'm fairly sure NK's did too - does this?)

EXCELLENT question. I would like to know too

Sorry, don't know about compatibility, because I only have tried 2 or 3 games.

I have currently implemented savestates, a better button layout and some optimizations. Next i'm gonna code a rom selector and then i'll get on with compatibility.

Will try to upload a new version later today or tomorrow.

Seems to work. Does this have sound? :huh:

Any progress on the new version madelman? I'm anxious to see some new, actively updated NES emulators out there.

Yeah, you need rename the rom.nes, and also beware that some roms simply won't work. I tried 2 games; mario brothers 1 ran quite nicely, but when I tried mario brothers 3 it just crashed me back to the main menu. And no, this emulator does not support sound yet either.

If you do end up trying some roms in the emu, drop a note about which ones worked and which didn't. It would be good to get an overall picture of the compatibility of the emu.
