I found this game on DCEmu its not mine. Its made by someone named anata. I uploaded it to the file archive and I just thought I would let you guys know. Its pretty fun but it could use some sound.

Edit- I also uploaded Tail Tieru.

Pity a lightpen doesn't work with LCD's, or atleast didn't work before... Who knows what engineers come up.

Yeah, they might even call it a touch screen, oh wait, they did.

The MMSP2 has a controller for one, but GPH in infinite wisdom (hah) decided not to implement it.
I hate to sound nasty... So I don't.

But lightpen is not touchscreen. There were lightpens for C=64 allready... But they didn't work with LCD's for some reason.

Wow, my bad, sorry for the over-sarcasm.

How are they different?

I assume the general idea is to know where the cursor is on the screen for drawing and such.

How is a touchscreen different?

I am geussing that it isn't easy to hook one into an emulator like a real light gun.

I believe a light gun reads when the cathode-ray hits a phosphor and then trips the code and the machine knows which pixel you are on.

The trick is that a LCD refreshes all (or a lot) of the pixels at one time, instead of doing a raster sweep of each line, and the pixels die off much slower than a CRT.

I bet a lightgun/pen would work, but it would likely flicker badly to even pick up.

Maybe it would be possible to move a white pixel over the screen...

No, wait, even at 100 FPS that would mean finding a point would take minutes ;)

Edit: But when the birds would be a special color...

Of course, the basic function is to faciliate mouse-type movement on the screen, as such, lightpen equals touchscreen.
Though, scratching maybe an issue...

Do lightguns work with LCD-tv's?
