Duke2x 0.02

This version extracts current midi file on the SD card. This problem is really minor, but I prefer when NAND and SD card are read only. I havent succed to get music extracted in RAM (via tmpfs). Now I am trying th have all midi songs extracted ONCE.
Greetings, Woogal, and thanks for this version !

Its amazing, i'm a snob for having music and sound effects now these are present its just the best thing on the gp2x (maybe joint with DrMd) :D thanks so much

So did the last release, it just didn't play the midi. You could try extracting the midi's to the SD but I'm not sure if it will play the extracted version or if it will still work from the .grp (which it will then try to save to the SD). Just out of interest, if you set the SD read only are you planning to play all the way through without saving? ;)

Or of course, try extracting the midi files once, and then making them read only... that way it might *try* to extract them, but unless there's a rename routine in there for if conflicts arise, it'd have to use the files already there and not write, whilst leaving the SD as a whole writeable to :)

Hey, it could work :)

How do i find out which version i have?
If you run the duke3d.exe file from a command line on the PC - type "duke3d.exe /?" and hit enter. Don't type the quotes ;)

Thanks, turns out this is version 1.99.

Anyway, I tried the shareware version instead and I get the menu but once I select something it just hangs... Anyone experience something like this?

I've copied the cfg file of the wiki website and have the files in the right folders.

Are you using A to select? B from the main menu will hang it :)

Just wanted to add - great work and truly enjoying it - especially with the music and sounds, pretty much a complete app for the gp2x and one of my most used :)

Also wanted to add I also experience the save bug where after saving the sound and music dies, impossible to get back - also leading to eventual lockups after this happens everytime. The second it saves, all sound is gone.

Great work :)
