The GP2x Story

It was on a cold and dreary night,
When an innocent child had a terrible fright,
For the ‘Firmware Updating’ message appeared,
This was what he had always feared,
That his GP2x would be a paper weight,
Oh what a cruel and terrible fate,
But wait there was once a rumour of a cable,
And it is said in that mystical fable,
That there was once a coder called Squidge,
With a house in the depths of the deepest ridge,
The boy wondered where this place could be,
He just wanted his GP2x to be free,
Free of its ball and chain,
Only a J-TAG could end this pain,
So our protagonist boarded an aircraft,
Then he continued to travel by raft,
No obstacle would starve him of the goal he did seek,
Even when the outlook seemed bleak,
His destination was the land of the free,
For that is where that ridge would be,
The Grand Canyon is the ridges location,
The boy’s mouth widened in anticipation,
Closer and closer his target became,
His surroundings all looked exactly the same,
There, he could see it, just out of sight,
He peddled his bike with all of his might,
When the boy reached the great canyon’s edge,
He stamped into the ground a small wooden wedge,
He then set up all his equipment and rope,
All that was left for him was hope,
He then jumped into the rift,
His body began to wriggle and drift,
Not far of his target his bungee rope snapped,
There, just above the ground, upside down he flapped,
He then cut his cord to let himself down,
And then, head first, he impacted the ground,
This was the house that he had to find,
He just hoped that he did not go blind,
He turned the handle to open the door,
Then what did he find left on the floor,
A note which may hold some wonderful key,
‘Ha ha you got tricked now come visit me’,
This note bore a wonderful name,
For Craig is the top of the GP2x game,
Lo and behold this ending is funny,
The motto, send Craig your GP2x’s and all of your money.

Edit: A Few Minor Revisisions And Fixing Of Some Mistakes

Nice one. Although, the 2x is not what i'd buy with $180, 'specially since the older one still works.

I am deeply impressed!

Now, can you write about crazy sex, illicit affairs etc...?

Crazy sex, illicit affairs,
the laughs the shouts the horrified stares.
The shock in the office as the rumor goes round.
Panties in photocopier found!
Red lights in windows not on the TV,
Groaning and rumbles in front of PC.

Crazy sex, illicit affairs,
forgotten today because nobody cares.
New shock at the office, new rumors abound.
Pictures of Director in panties are found.
Carryings on in leather backed chairs.
Crazy sex, illicit affairs,

The shock of it all is too much to bear,
Director kills himself in leather backed chair.
The corpse in the chair devoid of life,
stares at pictures of kids and of wife.
Look where it gets you, nothing prepares,
for Crazy sex and illict affairs.

Probably my last poem of 2005 lol

Happy new year everyone.

A Happy New Year it was to all,
Except for my annoying mate, paul.

He made a terrible and grave mistake,
He ate some of my mum's christmas cake.

I told him he shouldn't of eaten some,
But by that time the ambulance had come.

They put him on a stretcher and took him away,
We were told he would never see the light of day.

I woke up just now so i thought I write that. Inspired by Nova, Car Accidents and my mum' Christmas cake.......

Everyone, please do shut up,
Your rhyming's sending me corrupt,
I find your skills are too abrupt,
This is not a wind up.

You're about as poetic as a duck,
Indeed, you all so horribly suck,
Only idiots would be awestruck,
To your talents, I say yuck!

Terrible, this poem may be,
almost as terrible as can be
But i hope that you will see,
The irony.

You have no idea how to rythme,
And your poem's comletely out of time.

Please oh please just go away,
Before I have to make you pay.

Oh how I would pay top dollar,
If I could find a reasonable scholar.

Oh Goity how your poetry sucks,
Prepare to work on the dustbin truck.

Your inferior mind would not understand,
Your brains are little more than sand.

Ever heard of irony?
It's you whose needs are scholarly.

Prepare yourself, for a sorry end,
Fast food is the thing that you will vend.
