1942 (set 1)
Arkanoid (usa)
Bobble Bobble

rest aint showing up, but i can browse to them in the file explorer... ideas ?

readme.txt

it's there for a reason...

I'm pretty sure you need to rebuild your romsets with clrmamepro, using the included dat file...

also they have to be in the roms folder in the mamegp2x folder on the root of your sd...and don't change the folder names or capitalize them...

BTW...the only ones that I have in the complete set of playable roms built with clrmamepro and copied with MAMEGPCopier07 that you have listed, are mk.zip 1942.zip and tmnt.zip.

(well, the readme.txt in that folder just says put roms here...but the one in the mamegp2x folder should tell you what you need to know...)

for some reason i assumed that all roms were playable.. but only 904 of my 5000 odd roms are actually supported at this stage. thats the issue..

thanx for replying tho. much appreciated..

lol, on the read me file, they have a certain name for the rom which it needs to be called - did u do that? like rainbow islands for exapmle has to be "rainbow"

it tells you what game needs to be called what on the game list ;)

yes, but some games still wont run... you think im a retard.. im just australian. thats all.

you do realise that mamegp2x is mame version 0.34, right?

any games not supported by that version won't run.
you can't run ps2 games on it either :p

edit: yeah, i know, I'm a sarky git. couldn't resist :)

G'day The only retards are the ones who cannot answer your question properly.

The rom files you have (5000) are probably from a recent version of Mame e.g. v0.94.

The rom files for GP32 and GP2X Mame need to be v0.34 (quite old)

Mame has evolved quite a bit and roms were renamed, updated, colour proms added rather than guessed at. The roms in the zip files are therefore different although mostly they have the same zip file name.

You need to obtain 0.34 rom files or create them from a later set by using the clrmame utility or by hand (if you have a lot of time).

clrmame can convert some updated roms sets back to 0.34 but might not work for every set if the changes are great.

Drop me a personal message if you need more help ;-)

A'men, brother, but I still think that this might be my favorite quote ever...

I've the same problem, some roms reported to be good (using AdvanceSCAN and a roms list generated with MAME 0.34 for DOS since ClrMamePro isn't available on Linux) don't show in the MAME GP32 frontend. For instance, my tmnt.zip is reported to be good, is listed in the MAME GP32X gamelist.txt as working but is not showed in the frontend.
