Oh No!!!!!

Wow so how many people have lost their joysticks already? I always keep my GP2X in my GBA carrying case so if the joystick falls off, I'd know where to look.

Joke topic?

If not, here's a quick fix:

Pop the eraser out of a pencil, and stick on on the metal shaft ...

Not-So-Quick fix: Retrocon mod :)

Mine was starting to be loose, I took it out and bit carefully on the shaft with my incisor teeth. That made it tight again.

Don't cut off the shaft if you don't want to lose it.

I am not saying you did, just trying to warn people thinking about it.

Cut the top off a golf tee, throw away the pointy bit, drill a hole for the joystick shaft - perfect replacement. Nice little indent for your thumb, selection of colours. You will be glad you lost the original.

Holy CRAP! That's a great idea!! They make them out of wood, right? What a cool organic mod :D

Or you could use one of those Biodegradable tees made out of corn starch, that way, if you lose your GP2X on the Golf course, the tee will decompose quicker.

;P

And, when you are playing golf with your GP2X you don't have to worry about setting it aside to grab a tee, put it in the ground, set the ball on there, and drive the ball. Just set your GP2X on the ground and use it as the tee :) . I think someone should try it; I'll even take responsibility for it, but I won't buy you a new GP2X; I'll sit here and laugh at the exploits of my faithful follower.

heh heh!

The gp2x joystick DID seem a little tempremental when i looked at it. At least it doesnt click!

If by chance you DO lose your joystick, and all you got left is a metal rod sticking up... here are some more ideas!

Get a hersheys chocolate kiss and turn it upside down, stick it onto the metal rod firmly. you should be sure to play in cool conditions, and not get too hungry whilst playing.

get a head of your favourite childhood action figure (namely gi joe) and place it on! Lots of bead bobbin fun!

get christmas with the kranks on dvd, cut out two triangular pieces from the dvd case and slot them together, then get a five pence piece, put it onto the dvd and cut a small circle shape out of it. Glue that ontop of the bottom of the now assembled 3d trangular piece. Now you have a festive, and enjoyable joystick! Its called the ENJOYSTICK! now place the tip of the triangle 3d assembly onto the metal rod and you got a nice joystick!

Borrow somebodys gold tooth, go to a club or find some drug dealer or something and throw your xbox at their head. Chances are it should of at LEAST rendered them dead, and you can now simply pry the teeth from their gum. Drill a hole in the gold tooth, give it a clean and then put it as your joystick! BLING BLING!

of course, get the retrocon joypad from any bargain bin.. and pull of the joystick on that and stick it on.. great stuff!

and one more for the festive season, take the analog stick from your mates psp, and put it on your gp2x! HEH HEH!

O it's just the top thats coming off, this whole conversation was totally confusing me. Well if something like this happens to mine, I'll surely follow the golf tee replacement haha thats awesome
