i was just wondering.. is there any way a usb keyboard could work with the gp2x? it may need to be given its own power supply but it would be nice to have a kyboard for it. if it was possible, i would definately be using one of these:

perfect for the gp2x :p

I doubt that it has USB host built in, and last I checked two USB-slave devices don't talk too well with each other with no usb host device present.

All is not lost, however, because I'm sure someone will figure out a way to hook up a similar keyboard to some of the GPIO pins on the EXT port. I doubt they can emulate a USB protocol, (or it would be difficult to do), but I'm sure someone can modify one of the GP32 chatboards, as I believe they were serial, or a similar protocol.

having a keyboard would be cool for certain types of apps, although I probably wouldn't use if everyday. Anyone working on this yet?

I'm pretty sure we'll be seing chatboards just like on the GP32 so I wouldn't worry too much, we'll have some form of input or another ;)

i'm not sure that would work. there would be problems between the communication between the device and the gp2x (i think)

if they got a keyboard to work on an ipod, which was hacked, to use a keyboard, then I'm sure they can get a keyboard and quite possibly a mouse (in the future) to work with a gp2x.
