Hello ALL!

I have my lovely gp2x, woo hoo! First edition, gp2x.co.uk, great stuff.

I cant open it until christmas day, SUCKS! But i want to get all worries out the way. I tried to search for answer, but i couldnt fidn one at all, sorry guys.

Well, I was wondering, because my unit didnt come with any gp32 manager style software, OR drivers for the unit, how the heck does the unit know what folders go where on the sd card? is the formatting sequence as rough as the gp32's?

All im asking is, can i format the card in fat32, and simply insert it, and it makes the required folders etc for me to drag and drop?
I had no instructions to do this or anything, and its not in the manual. So this is really my last resort.

I hope that i posed an unasked question which was useful :)

Paths are different on the GP2X. Roughly anything can be put anywhere. However almost all releases have readme files that describe where to put data for it; consult them.

There are no dedecated folders needed on the sd card for the GP2x, Unlike the GP32. You create the folders how you like (within reason), And place your files pretty much anywhere you like, Unless a program/game need specific requirements, Which should be explained in an accompanied readme text file.
