Is anyone else interested in a SOFT BOOT? I truly fear with all the crashing, hangs, and batteries puking in a couple hours - I'm going to wear this ON/OFF slider switch off before the firmware is even stable!

So, is there ALREADY a soft reset? If not, am I the only one interested in this?

I'm talking like hold all four buttons and the shoulder buttons and the system reboots.

Thoughts?

no idear if this works, but you could try to create a textfile with lf spaceing with the following content
Code:
shutdown -r now
save it as restart.gpu.
should work.

yep, something like the good ole 3 finger salute for amiga (ctrl+A+A)and windows(we ALL know this one), a button combo that resets the system

another thing i wonder about ... why do we have to launch a viewer for each file type, rather than being able to browse, then select a file, and let the gp2x os decide how to execute eacy type of file?

pogoShell for gba had a system for this that worked fairly slick.

yes, i'm just yapping, this console is so young i don't think it's even crying yet. while my fingers are moving, one thing i'm looking forward to ... is a .nfo style viewer for ascii/ansi/old 80col wide text files ... there's libraries of great stuff which catalog the history of cpu underground/geek culture ... i think a reader like this would be pretty easy to hack up. like, almost easy enough for me to try it, eventually :)
