Hello, GPers

I recently picked up some GP-lust when i ran across some fanboy posting about it on probably engadget... and I'm thinking that I NEED one of these.

I see at lik-sang that the GPX2 is going to be $180 starting 2006, and the GP32 is $130 now.

I want some opinions... I really like the white. I want a white portable console. (I am a mac user... yeah...)

I want to have this freaking thing when my band goes on tour in late december... but I will have my laptop for all my SNES roms.

Is it worth the wait for the gpx2

There's no word as to when there'll be a white GP2X version. Wait a while, follow the forums and see what develops in the next few months and you'll probably get what you're looking for, if you buy RIGHT now and arnt sure about your purchase you might feel cheated and no one wants that. Early adopters have thick skin.

If you buy a GP32 you can't possibly loose because of the mountains and mountains of things already availible.

Get a GP32, you will not regret it. Like previously said, there mountains and mountains of fun released for it, and it will continue to be like so for quite a while now. You say you play SNES on your laptop, and the GP32 plays perfect Genesis, SMS (thank you Reesy ) and nearly perfect GBC, ZX Spectrum (thank you Rlyeh ) as well as a ton of other emulators and creative homebrew releases! gp32_console

Going around with a band eh?
So I don't think a portable console is strictly needed, the laptop will do fine. Far better quality too.
Wait for the GP2X then you will have a totally portable console that plays Neo Geo games (and all the rest of course)
