Gp32z.com Gp2x

Reading that thread is making me a little worried. I did expect problems, problems i could live with, but i dont want to part with my GP2X as soon as i get it :(. Just not fair.. so anyone who ordered from GP32Z.com could you please tell me if any of those symptoms occur for your system?

Any problems with units from GP32Z.com?
Also what are you model numbers. I want to see if there is a problem, the models from there are covered in the recall.

Mine has a problem in that it won't work with batteries. And I notice that the screen does flicker a little during video's and during music. I don't know if that's part of the recall or not. But I may have to return mine. :(

Model numbers are all the same: GP2X-F100
I think that you mean serial #.

My personal theory is that the longer it took for you to get yours from that first preorder batch that was sent out starting the day before Thanksgiving, the closer to the first batch it is. If you think about it, it's possible that when they ship a whole bunch of them to say gp32z.com they put the ones that they just made on the bottom and build the pile up. So in this way, the newer ones are on top and sent out first, and the last people to get them have the oldest ones from the factory. And those may be more error prone. Just my theory.

I ordered mine on 10/6, and receveid it finally two days ago...

So fat I have no major complaint to the unit I have except the flickering light during MP3 play...have not try video yet. cause I dont have any files in the AVI- DIVX format

My S/N something is GP2XV102 00000000305.

I guess I dont belong to the recall batch of the first 500 units...

Your in the same batch as me. Your 305, I'm 242 from the 3rd production run. The 102 means it's the 3rd as i understand it.

But there goes my theory anyway! :)

I received mine this past weekend. Upgraded to 1.0.1 firmware. I still get flickering while watching divx movies. I don't notice too much flickering during mp3 playback. My 2000mah rechargable batteries keep the unit running 3-4hrs.
