Best Batteries??

Anyway, while searching the web for rechargeables, I came across a make called "Profitexx", a Polish firm. Although I've never heard of them before I think I may take a chance & get some of these. They're 2700mAH (the highest I've ever seen for a rechargeable).

I think they're cheap enough to make them worth trying, & if they're crap .... it's £6.25 .... a few beers, a pack of ciggies etc!! ;) . Here is a link to them

Just been looking at that guys shop on ebay and found these:ebay.
Dunno if they're any good, but they might be worth a try...

just one question..

can batteries be recharged just by plugging the ac connector to the gp2x?

i think that building an external battery pack with 4 batteries for extra playing it's a simple electronic job (buying the right plastic case, some wire, the right connctor and 1or 2 resistancies for voltage regulation)
why i need such a long batterylife?
every 2 weeks i make a 15 hours trip by train  :p

Instead of doing it that way, why don't you make a battery pack which uses D batteries and use 4 but put them in sets of 2 parallel. Eliminates the need for any resisters

I went to Sams club yesterday and got an Energizer charger that came with 8 AA 2500mAH batteries and 4 AAA 850mAH batteries for $25.

I'm thinking of buying a "GP Powerbank Ultra Smart" comes with 4x 2500 GP mah NiMH batteries for 50 euro, anyone know if it's a good deal? and is it a good product?
according to the info it can recharge them all in 30min and has a built in fan in the charger for cooling the unit.

Like many people here I've had to make my own entertainment while waiting for the new toy. So I took a moment aside from obsessively refreshing my email to buy some batteries and a charger. I got the Uniross Sprint 90 from Battery Force (in the UK). Including postage it came to about £23 (it arrived next day).

Four 2500mAh AA's included.

From flat, the whole lot charged in about 3 hours. You can also use the charger in the car - handy for those long journeys.

Right, back to checking the email...

I bought a profitexx deal on ebay. Charger + 8 2700maH AA's for £20.

I'm expecting my GP2X tommorrow (ordered 17th sep, and folk from that date are recieving emails apparently!) so I'll let you all know how they perform.

They are bloody heavy and the charger seems solid though. A good sign. Took about 3 hours to charge 4 in the charger, which then lights up green. Weeeeee!!!!!

I've just bought a set of 4 Ansmann 2500mAh batteries with a Digispeed charger from Tantronics UK. Costly at around £56, but Ansmanns are known to be one of the best batteries around - see a review of them at http://www.batteryreview.co.uk/battery_rev...ann_2500_aa.htm

Also note that to properly test a new set of rechargeables they should be charged and drained at least 3 times. The first few charges intentionally alters the chemical composition of the battery.
