Best Batteries??

The great thing about rechargable AAs is that once one of them dies you put another one in!

just one question..

can batteries be recharged just by plugging the ac connector to the gp2x?

No. You will need a charger.

other weight to my suitcase <_<
weight? My charger is like 2 inches by 2 inches!
a 2 demensional charger!?!
Or is the third demension implied?

So your charger weighs only four inches, That is light. :p

well if its only 2 deminsions it would be really light weight, having no thickness implies no weight

0.050 metres x 0.05 metres x 0.025 metres.

Or more logically

50mm x 50mm x 25mm. :)

Does anyone here care? The best batteries are the ones with the highest mAh rating. The highest I've seen are 2500mAh Energizer batteries. Get those, or something.

I'll be using the 2500mAH energizers.....but damn...I really wish that if the machine was plugged in with the ac adapter that it'd charge the batteries. Damn, oh well.

That'd be pretty dangerous if you ever put regular batteries in...

Actually, it can be rigged to not cause trouble.

Case in point - my crappy Sony minidisc player, N510ck (if memory serves). It takes a normal AA battery, but if you put a NIMH rechargable in and then plug in the ac adapter, it'll charge the battery. Yet, I've never had a problem with it when having just a normal alkline in it.

Funny thing about that one - this feature on that model is completely undocumented. I was quite confused the first time I had a NiMH cell in and plugged it in and the display read "Charging" :D

Now too bad Sony's software sucks...

Not always, really cheap no name brands from Taiwan (and other far off places around the world  ) often fake the mAh rating.
Generally if energizer and other well known companies are not doing anything higher than 2500mAh then those batteries you saw cheaply in the market are not really 3000mAh/
