i just downloaded firefox & a few themes but its a bit of a pain to use compared to opera - is there an easy way to use new tab windows? at the moment i think internet explorer 6 (with the new update for tabbed browsing!) is faster & better but still think opera is best - i will still have a play around woth firefox - any updates/plugins/extras i can download for firefox??
View-Toolbars-Customise-New Tab-Drag across to a toolbar.

arrh! thats better! - is there a way of customising firefox so it saves the tabs when you close it so when you reopen the broswer it will save the tabs you had open before like on IE6 & opera? - as that is well annoying when i have 6 tabs open then close it & have to start over each time i open it - if it supports this feature i think i will have a new favorite broswer!

ok ok ok - Firefox is SUPERB! - i had no idea it could do all this stuff!! - i have unibstalled opera & have firefox only - you transformed my life!!!!!

you do know the method of pressing mouse3 over the "home" picture/button, it will open a new tab, found out that myself the first day i got it :)

Get the extension called Mouse Gestures. You wouldn't think it could make much difference to your surfing but you soon notice it's absence when using someone elses computer and you can't understand why holding the right mouse button and moving the mouse to the left is having no effect.
I also like foxy tunes which integrates into the browser letting you control your media player while surfing the net without having winamp or whatever you use sitting at the top of the page.

sounds like theres a lot of extras & addon's for firefox then?

im using the noia theme - is there any better ones than this?

I use the "GNOME-Fx" theme. I would recommend getting the "All-In-One Sidebar" extension, i love it. Once you have it installed, you no longer need the top menu and can hide it by pressing f11.

i have downloaded a sidebar but i didn't like it! - anything else you would recommend?

-Gmail checker
-Foxy tunes (if you like to listen to music when browsing the web)
There are a lot more good ones but i haven't gotten around to trying them.....

Ones I use:
BugMeNot
Web Developer
AdBlock
Nuke Anything
Download Manger Tweak
Chatzilla
All in One Gestures
Duplicate Tab
IE View (I have Foxie on IE)
SessionSaver
FireFTP
zoomFox

Proof that all polls lie. LOL. I suspect stats on the webserver would put this to right.

btw in emergency situations "Links" is a belting second browser.

I use Avant (http://www.avantbrowser.com/) :p

All the compatablity for crap web developer's 'best viewed in IE' websites, but all the meaty goodness of a mutli-document interface

I also have Opera, Firefox, Lynx on my system.

I have IE on my P120 laptop, cos opera & avant load slow on it, and firefox loads snail with bird flu, shite slow on it :p

I have opera on my Psion B)

I have started to get error messages saying firefox needs to close do you know what this is?
