were Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Legendia released on the Playstation? I only played them at a friends, but could recommend them highly anyway. Very awesome.
Tapes of Symphonia is for the gamecube.
Legend of Legaia (is that what you're referring to?) is for the playstation.

On the FF8 offtopic-subject: When do you hear Eyes On Me? I'm replaying the game and while I've had I think all the Laguna/Squall parts in Deling City(disc 2, after the assassination of the Sorceress) I can't remember having heard it :(.
Now that I think about it, I can't remember.... I think its when you go into the paino players room in the hotel as laguna, but im not sure when that is (damn, can't think of her name right now, and I call myself a ff8 expert....). I will have to replay the game and find out :D (after I beat 7 for the second time of course).

Her names Julia, and she's Rinoa's mother.
And I think FF8 is superior in every way to FF7. I was overblown by the storyline.
I think Eyes on me is played in the ragnarok in that little floaty love scene half way through disc 3.

Thanks for clearing that up. I don't remember her being rinoas mother though..... although that does make sense.... when does it say that? (I REALLY need to replay that game, I'm forgetting so much of it!)

well, it says in the disc 2 laguna dream, raine says that julia was heartbroken cos her lover went to war and she never saw him again (laguna) and general caraway (rinoa's father and the leader in edea asassination) "comforted" her and they got married.

Noone mentioned the Grandia series yet... Grandia has been released for the PSX, Grandia II for the Dremcast, PS2 and PC. Both are very decent games, but maybe a bit too easy... and some may find the gfx too cute, but that also applies to some of the FF games.

Grandia looks really good but I've never played it. I looked into buying it but at the time it was more money than I wanted to spend (i'm a cheapass).

Well, now its quite cheap to get, i have the PC version, it works under XP, but the FMV´s aren´t displayed correctly... (but you can wotch them with any videoplayer since they´re in mpeg format)
