When you close the battery lid on the gp32, it's supposed to snap shut, right? Like, the "open" tab clicks into the locking position.

Mine doesn't do that, when I close the lid, the tab doesn't click into the locking position, and I have to push the tab a little bit in order to correctly snap tab into it's secure locked-in position.

Now, is this just normal wear (Like, does it happen to other people), or did I somehow mess up the lid?

Like I said, it's a very minor problem, and it's just an extra step I have to take when I close the battery lid.

Also, I have a FLU, so if it's a design fault, it may have been fixed for the BLUs.

Strange I have the problem the other way around, the lid of my new blu+ is very hard to open. I`m really hurting my fingers when I`m trying to change the batteries.

Well, If I understand your problem correctly, I have the same problem. I had it from the begining, so I don't think it's "broken". It's probably just a design flaw.

Yeah I have a tight BLU+ so I guess its a design issue they changed later

I would not worry if Horscht has the same issue

I think most people of you understand that wrong. It's not like it's not hard to open it up again. You just have to "force" the lid to snap because it won't snap on it's own will :D

NOPE it's not a design flaw at all!!! My FLU and by buddies FL the battery cover snaps on fine. It must be from wear and tear or breaking it by mistake.

well i think its just a production flaw...
mine did this from the first time i put batterys in till now ;)
but i dont care ;P

depends which batteries are used

some are thicker than others

well i wouldnt try to put baby-cells in my gp

No flaw, it's just the way the battery covers were designed...easily fixed mine. Got tired of hurting my thumb so I grabbed my Dremel with a cutting wheel. Just a little angle grinding at the outer corners of the cover's engagement latch plus a little off the top locking ridge and now it functions perfectly. Slides in and out like butter - very easily- like a GBA.

I wouldn't call it a design flaw... more like poor quality control since there is so much variation. Mine snaps shut fine and all, but I originally had the problem of the door being loose and rattling around. So I too an air filter from a video projector and cut out a rectangle and clued it in to stop the rattling. Worked like a charm.

Ok, thank goodness! I was worried a little bit that I somehow did something to my gp32.

And yeah, I can get the lid off just fine, but when I put it back on, the tab just doesn't snap into place like it normally should. Pushing on the tab a little bit will get it to snap into place correctly, and yeah, it does happen even without batteries in there.

Ok, now another question: is it a problem with the gp32's case, or is it a problem with the lid itself?

I don't see it as a problem at all, it's a pain when you drop something and the batteries fly out everywhere, don't get this problem with GP32. Only dropped it once though, I don't dare try it again.

Seeing as it's broke anyway. you may aswell attempt to open it and see what's wrong.
