Gamikaze, Emuholic & Zodiac Gamer all seem to be down and have been for a few days now. Hope this isn't another hacking attempt!

I also hope GP32x stays up!

...this might sound like a bit of a useless post, but I thought I'd mention it anyway as its a bit of a coincidence I thought.

problems with the DNS on my sites, **** domain company! :) please use http://emuholic.emuboards.com (or emuholic.com) for gbaemu,gp32emu etc and http://zodiacgamer.emuboards.com for zodiac gamer

if the domain names are working its probably your PC caching the DNS, if it is then dont reboot your PC and you should still be able to visit using the domains as if nothings happened :)

Well there are also other nice pages such as
pdroms.de (homebrewn games/app/etc news also covering gp32) and retroguru.com (emu news also covering gp32)... ;)

regards
kojote

Aaah, right. Got Emuholic & Zodicgamer working again, cheers for that, but still no Gamikaze? Says I'm 'not authorised to view this page' or something. I've tried on my home & work PC but no success.

If you're certain it's a DNS problem, and you have XP, you can try this:

Control Panel > Network Settings > right click on your LAN connection > Status

Support > Details [button] > look under "DNS server"

right click on your LAN connection again > properties > select "TCP/IP" in the list > click on properties

"Use the following DNS server addresses"
Remember the IP that was listed under "DNS server" in the details button thingy?
Enter that number in the primary box, and in the secondary box, put this in: 4.2.2.2

Now, your computer will use the default DNS server, and will use the alternate (4.2.2.2) when the default DNS server fails for whatever reason.

So click ok and stuff and get out of the dialogs and stuff.

There you go. Horray!

even mame.net is down :(

about 99% of emulation sites are on the same server (ZTnet net) mine included! ;-)

it's quite amusing when they all go splat together, seems like emulation as we know it has been WIPED OUT!
