Yo,

I haven't really been working on this for a while, because I got stuck on the sound, but I have added a few cool things other than sound (which isn't in this release, definitely will be in the next release), so I thought I'd release a new version.

The cool new stuff is a new graphics core, which makes drawing twice as fast, but doesn't exactly mean twice the emulation speed. In fact, it doesn't mean that at all. Just try it out and you'll see it's faster, though.

Also, I added animated savestates, which I think are pretty nice.

Make sure to delete your config file, or else you'll get some weird default values. Shouldn't break anything though.

So, get it here, and leave me any comments, please

Yes, well, sporadic updates come with sporadic developing. :)

Plus, I'm still a little bitter that the OSX launcher got a better score than me in the ADIC.

EDIT: I guess I spelled "sporadic" as "sporatic"

That sucks about the ADIC thing. An emu like yours would seem to be much more difficult to do. Maybe they expected sound and full speed or something, or maybe they are Mac nuts, who knows. It comes down to opinion though so what can you do. I think your emu is probably used more by the community than the OSX thing if that is any consolation :) Thanks for the good work.

Which games should I try? I tried only a few and just Mr. driller was OK because all other games were some rpgs in japanese... are there any english games/patches or games like Mr. driller where the language isn't important?

LOOM,

Here's the games I commonly play on Wonderboi:

1. Mr. Driller
2. Final Fantasy 1 w/ English patch
3. Gunpey Ex
4. Rockman and Forte
5. Tekken Card Challenge
6. Guilty Gear Petite
7. Guilty Gear Petite 2
8. Kaze no Klonoa
9. Magical Drop
10. Puzzle Bobble
11. Puyo Puyo
12. Side Pocket
13. XI Little

So, has anyone got any comments?

Like, "hey, the speed IS a bit better" or "Man, you're emulator sucks!" or something constructive?

How about, "I won't touch it until it's fullspeed w/ sound".

I'veonly tried it with one game because some didnt zip correctly.
The emulator does seem a bit faster.. :)
I'll probably use it a bit. But i usually dont like to play games without sound...
I really like your emulator though, and your random updates..
Thanks for the work you have done so far...
I cant guage the speed of the emulator well, because i've never actually played a wonderswan...
Anyway... Thanks!

(Sorry if this post is messed up, i typed it on my dreamcast)

i didn't try it yet to be honest because of the sound thing, but i'm always pleasantly surprised when a new update comes out,so by all means keep up the good work!

I'm just sad there wasnt a color version of puzzle bobble (aka busta move) on wonderswan.

I'm still looking for a system on gamepark (other than supernes) that has it emulated in color nicely (not gbc or msx, though, too hard to see).

Will try the emulator out later today.

Thanks for the hard work.

Cool, just tried it.

I have a problem with the start+select reboot thing during games, as some emus use this as the menu option.

Also, plays ok. Video still seems very slow, I had to use 156mhz, and fs6 to make it close to the right playspeed with Mr. Driller. Guilty Gear 2 plays uberslow, 166mhz and fs8 still weren't enough.

I use it on fullscreen, not the small setting. Also could you default the games to fullscreen instead of widescreen (or are most games widescreen?).

Still, great work, as wonderswan is decently powerful, so this emu must be very hard.

MTH411

!!!IT does work on blu+
Wohoo!
Just had to add that.
