Is it common for pixels to remain on the screen when the unit has been switched off. Doesn't do it all the time but when it does, you can just make out the image. Is this normal?

Yes!, Don`t panic, This is normal behavior. The screen take quite a lot to power it, So when switching off the unit, It takes a couple of second for that power to drain away.

yes, it's just the type of screen it is, all GP32's do it, and so does my GBA

Wasn't really bothering me but I was just curious. Thanks for the quick reply.

:)

EDIT: Thanks Trooper :)

One more question. Is it ok to keep switching the unit on ond off? Currently testing Mame GP32 and need to do this when no roms are detected.

Yes, works ok on a list (or game) but doesn't seem to work if no roms are present for a particular manufacturer (i.e when the message is displayed).
