Anyone know of a P2P network with audiobooks on it? Theres only a very small amount on most of the ones ive tried. Also, I know there was a thread a while back, but has anyone progressed on the P2P at uni situation yet?

well i can tell you about southampton, but i guess it could apply to plenty of others.

the uni networks operate behind a firewall with most all ports blocked, you cannot port forward as there are only a few actual I.P. addresses that the uni has so it works on a many to one idea, which of course would make it impossible to assign a user within an I.P. group ports etc.

afaik a fair few unis have a DC++ network running within the uni network so you can trade stuff at lightning speeds, but only have access to stuff that people within the uni have, as no one has access to outside p2p, i guess these archives could be kinda stale. its best to have a look on any prospective uni's student union web forum, see if people are complaining about kaaza not working!
