How much should somebody pay for a new gp32 blu+? Since the only place really selling them is selling them for a little over $200 (for a 166) do you guys think that is too much or is it fair? lik-sang only charged 180 but im guessing this is due to taxes place on products being sold to the US.

There was othe HK shop selling BLU+ for around 180USD. BAST252 bought it there. But since Lik Sang is not selling them anymore (at least for now) the price of 200USD is ok I guess.

i personally feel that is too much. even the newer systems don't even cost that much and the GP has been around for quite a while with nothing changing but the lcd.

i think that the price is ok, you have to remember that gamepark actualy only makes money from the gp32 itself, not from game sales like other companys.

I think it is very much worth it. Don't forget that the business model is quite different. With a system like the PSP they can sell the system at a loss and make money on software. With the GP32 once you pay for the hardware, most of the stuff you will run on it is *free* so the price of admission is actually cheaper after everything is added up.

Exactly. Although it may seem overly expensive at first. It really isnt because once you buy the system, some rechargable batteries and a few smcs thats it. No paying for homebew or emulators.(Although you should donate if something rocks) Pretty much you pay once and thats it.
Much less than if you get a gba or something, because games are $30 a pop which adds up...

sadly, i am in the process of moving, my gf said i had to move all my handhelds to the new place but I was allowed to keep 1 while i was still at my current place. I chose my DS over my Gamepark.

moral of the story: playing the same old emulated games over and over starts to get boring, especially after 2 years.(thats how long i've had my GP32).

EDIT: Get a used GP32 from Ebay

This one. :p

:D Yeah, nice stand but I bet it guzzles the batteries!!

Yep, the FLU looks good to me and no firmware upgrade hassles for newbies with that slubman fw as sold.

I remember my first firmware flash... the terror!!!!

Is there a chance of import duty for UK buyers with that US GP32? Even so, at that price, £40 extra wouldn't hurt the pocket too much ;)

oooh, I'm all edits tonight
