Future Drmd Release?

"memory overclocking thing", I'm not too sure what you mean. But if its to do with having multiple settings for each CPU speed, where each setting overclocks the memory in a different way then yes it is in my plans.

If your going to ask questions, try to be abit more clear. Or I shall be force to slap you in the face with a rather large wet haddock.

Yes, Haddock is my personal favourite. You can get a really good swing, and it gives great results especially when attacking the face. You should try it, you will not be disappointed.

Trout has been my favourite for some time, because of aerodynamics. Depends on the grip, I'd assume.

(Actually, you know Tintin? His captain buddy is Haddock where I live...)

No, grouper all of the way. You can really get some power with that.

Well Star Fish are okay for long range attacks, but when your up close and personal you've got to go with the haddock! Nothing else gets the job done better, end of story ;)

On the C64, enough is known that you can emulate either two 6502's, *or* a single 6502, and patch the rom to handle the drive directly in software (much faster). However, not all games are compatible with this, so some have to use a 2nd processor emulation which of course slows things down.

I would bet that C64 emulation could be perfect at 133 Mhz with full 1541 emulation and perfect SID chip emulation. I think Frodo is spaghetti code again so that is why the slowness. Damn fast PCs have ruined everything. What ever happened to lean and mean code?

It died with the C64.

Sorry, I think you mean the Amiga. ;)

Yeah, you are right the Amiga. What other computer could multitask in 512K of RAM and from a floppy, only Amiga.

How do I donate. Step by step.

First, Have you got a paypal account ?.

If so, Go to paypal home page (make sure it is their proper website) and log-in. Then click the send money tab at the top of the page. Make a note of Reesy`s paypal address (remember to change the `AT` with the @ sign) and use that as the recipient's email. The rest of the page you could probably fill out yourself. The next page is your own personal payment details, Which you should be able to fill out yourself. Oh btw, You may want to specify no address at the bottom of that page. As i don`t think you want Reesy turning up on your doorstep, Although i think we can trust him. :D

Click the send money button at the bottom right of that page, Money sent and a happier Reesy. :)

Well any of the beta testers will be able to guess how much approximately has been donated so far, as they can see how many people are on beta distribution. Mind you there are some developers on there as well, but it does give you an idea.

So far I've bought

A new heating thingy for my water boiler which went just after christmas ( My wife thanks all of the donators for getting her hot water back )
GP32 carrying case
TV Card for PC
2 glass gp32 screens
2 gp32 shoulder springs

Thats it so far, I've still got a bit left which is I'm going to use to buy myself either a speccy,C64,Atari ST or Amiga. I'm going to a few jumble sales tommorow to see if I can find any bargins. Wooo Hooo what an exciting life I lead ;)

P.S Donations will not be used to buy a DS or PSP :) I promise.

Reesy, You`ve got to get an Amiga, You owe it to yourself. Honestly, You won`t regret it. :)

Btw: I will be willing to make another donation when another substantial version is released ( not that all the other versions have not been substantial ( Am i digging a big hole for myself )), Or when you decided you`ve have had enough ( which hopfully won`t be for a while yet ). I hope it doesn`t look like i am trying to exert any pressure here, Far from it. :)

Ok, I`ll shut up now. :p

Yes definetly get an Amiga. It is the best "classic" computer ever. Get some of the "scene demos" for it too. You would be suprised how cool the music and graphics are in those.

I will also, like Trooper, donate again after another public release. That is my plan. Donate for first public release of an emu (this time it was DrMD, next will be for DrSMS or DrPCE if they are ever made) and then a little something for every public release after. I think that is fair :)

Yeah I'm learning towards an Amiga I have to admit. I never had one as a kid, is it easy to transfer games from a PC to the Amiga?

"another substantial version" I'm not sure what would qualify for this, I would imagine alot more games working. So this is going to require cyclone fixes, which is what I'm currently working on. I haven't found any more major bugs so far just a couple of minor ones, so I'll have to keep looking.
