c'mon check out gamespot. I've done just as much research into the DS (even though it's excited me about as much as a decapitated squirrel) as i have the PSP hence I argue on both sides. But if you actually hunt around gamespot a bit you'll see some amazing games that will hoepfully be multiplayer :D

THe only that annoys me about Metriod is that is basically no single player. All single player is a practice mode for multiplayer. I really hate it when these kind of games are so fun to play multi but have little or no single player.
The game isnt released until Feb/March so unless you are 1 of the developers or are a psychic...

I'd say your'e full of shi...<snip>

Experience the ferocious first-person action of the Metroid Prime universe on the Nintendo DS, Metroid Prime Hunters. Hone your skills against a slew of enemies in single-player training modes like Regulator, Survival and Morph Ball, then put them to the test when you compete in Death Match arenas with your friends over a wireless connection. Multiple control schemes take full advantage of the DS touch screen, giving all gamers an ideal way to play.

:(

So? are you saying this isnt single player enough for you?

And Honestly I dont see why you're accepting the word of EB as gospel since they probably just wrote the most bare bones discription they could. If there's a story there's probably some form of true single player even if it's a violent version of mario party with you tracking down a bunch of Samus clones, it may suck but it's single player.

I will wait and see what Nintendo has to say rather than take the word of a game retailer.

stop saying this isnt true , IT IS ,

your just getting confused , this isnt about the finished game .. its about the demo METROID PRIME : FIRST HUNT ( the full game is called hunters )

that piece of info is about the free demo you get with the DS , please stop winging it isnt true , it is , BUT ITS ONLY A DEMO , the full game with a full adventure just like the other metroid prime games , sheesh , i did say in a previous post , u just dont listen ¬¬

one your skills against a slew of enemies in single-player training modes like Regulator, Survival and Morph Ball, THESE are the training modes on the DEMO

see that word there ... DEMO

they will be at the start of the STORY mode ... think of multiplayer as a BONUS , metroid prime 2 on the cube , didnt need multiplayer , they gave it as BONUS ..

i wish people would research befor emaking dumb posts

Jesus you people are like a pack a rabid dogs <_< Usually when a retailer writes a description of a game they don't write it about the demo. I was just using my logic  Sorry I messed up please forgive me o' gaming gods and handsome hunks /sarcasm. If in fact Metriod does only come with a 'training mode' I don't really feel that it constitutes a good single player expereince, I like games with a story, even if its cookie-cutter it's better than just hopping from arena to arena shooting at floating balls and random enemies.

"metroid does only come with a training mode" again your refering to the Demo
" I like games with a story" the full release of metroid will have a full story mode
think about it , the DEMO that comes with the DS has the training stuff
this is to give a TASTE of what the game wil be like
it also has a limited multiplayer mode with a few levels, not because thats the game , but its so you can get a taste of what it will be like .

the metroid your refering to is
Metroid Prime: First Hunt
this is a demo , its called "First Hunt" cus you get the first piece of the game *the training section)

the actual game is called
Metroid Prime : Hunters

ok so please stop posting the same BS stuff about how theres no strory , ITS JUST A FUCKING DEMO

yeah definatly because I was agreeing that there'd be a full game in the complete version. You quoted my post like I was saying there was only going to be the multiplayer mode.

The page from EB is about Hunters
Btw Alpha who were you talking about in your last post?

I was refering to Bob.

Anyway, what comes with the system is a demo, a demo for a game that has to have a single player mode, in it's final version, of some sort even a crappy single player mode. You can't sell a game on multiplayer alone other wise what else are you going to do with it when no one's around?

Yeah im sure it will come with some sort of SP, but I was talking about Sp like Battlefield 1942's SP, which is basically not there

wasn't quake 3 basically a multiplayer game without any decent single player story?

So there's basically no AI or atleast none worth playing against, that's incredibly sad.

ANYWAY. someone on another forum posted these pics of the PSP and DS in side by side comparisons. Take a look!

I don't know, the PSP looks way too fragile to me, especially with that big screen, and especially as a portable system. Looks like it'd snap like a twig.
