>>so xbox 2 is gonna have 3X3.5ghz or what ever? or they will all add up to 3.5ghz?<<

My understanding is that all three new systems will be run with multiple general processors. I haven't read the number 3.5 Ghz to represent any of the systems.

Personally, I expect all the machines to be incredibly capable regardless of the actual numbers.

My question would be whether or not the graphics system of XBOX2 will be "Windows Graphic Foundation 1.0" hardware compliant. I hope it is.

(I think I got the name correct, it is basically the new name for Direct X after DX9.0)

All the consoles operating with multiple processors will fit in with the direction PC's are going eventaully with multiple core processors. Faster toys...

the phantom or the indrema

I've been waiting 5 years for the indrema, so it better be good :D

the xbox2 won't have 3 3.5Ghz PowerPC processors because if they did the console would cost a shit load of money. and they don't even have 3.5Ghz processors. I know they could make the technology in the time that xbox2 will come out but even if they did i seriously doubt they would put it in the xbox2

the phantom's gonna blow, and wasn't the Indrema cancelled because no one gives a crap what OS it runs on, and that was the main thing they were trying to sell it on?

I agree, sega will own :p back in 8th grade me and some friends specd a Sega console, called it the Sega Kickyourassman

Im gonna get all of them, I always do. Infact in my house we currently have four X-boxs. All linked for multiplayer fun. 2 ps2's and a gamecube. I love games far two much.

I'll probably get the new gamecube first, Nintendo just seem to know something about making good games. Any nintendo game ive ever owned beats everything except sonic. But then again I am a sonic Fanboy LoL

well, read this !!!
Im glad to see something like this finally come out
Sony already confirmed this to be on PSP screen and the Blu Ray disks that I have learned more bout
well, stickin with my computer till xbox 2 price goes down
and bout the phantom, its really a computer with TV out
its not even fancied up like consoles are now, its just a computer
you can get better cheaper ( which Is why I stay with my computer! lol )

As you are all on the internet posting all these replys, i assume you already own the most beneficial console in the world, its like a giant gp32 but the emus are better and there are great commercial games, and come the next gen consoles im pretty sure there will be emulators on it for them that can go faster yhan the oroginals.
its called a PC people

The problem with PC gaming is the hardware changes so fast the developers never bother to get to grips with it. They always just up the minimum specs rather than trying to get more out of lower specs. I mean look at the difference in quality between early PS2/Xbox/Cube games and the current stuff. You don't seem to get that on the PC.

They decided not to make anymore concles due to cost and demand problems mostly. Plus the game companies are locked in with the concles on the market now.

thats right, you cant coompare consoles and PC's
The PC is so far above the console its not even funny
take that shitload of money youll buy a PS3 with, and get a 6800gt and quit complain your system sucks
all in all, it boils down to whatever system you like best
If your a fanboy, youll get all Big N stuff
If you love racing games and survial Horrors, youll get PS stuff
If you love good looking games and a lot of FPS youll go microsft
X-box for lower end looks, PC for higher end looks and many more options
another thing, you dont have to worry bout backwards compatability on a PC!
console games go down in value in my eyes when ya cant keep playing them on the new rig, ya gotta keep switchin console to the TV... hasle
also, ANY MULTIPLAYER GAME can have voice chat functions, comes in handy
that and it emulates better than enything, and does a whole lot more ( I watch TV on mine ) posabilites are almost endless
so many options compared to a console, Its not fair to compare ( that sounds funny )

it still feels beter to play a video game on a console than a pc though
i like my pc for like internet and stuff
i play video games on other stuff

There are console games and PC games.... and then there are emmulators which are console games ON PC. It takes a hell of a lot more work to get an emmulator on a console so I'll gladly play them on PC for as long as my system can handle them, thank you very much.

I dont intend to buy another computer for several years but when I do I expect I'll have a broad enough band to download ISOs which are the next step up from roms and play those rather than cranking up an old PSone... this is assuming I dont have a PS3 which easily(theoretically) play them. And I do beleive I'm buying it BECAUSE of that library of PS1 and 2 games I already have. I've come to respect the line up of games I've amassed compared the the M$ games I can count on one hand that I'm only remotely interested in that makes it obvious I dont need their current system and helps me decide I'm probably not going to be too fond of their next one. The next nintendo much like the last one will depend on price and how many games I see that I wont see on another system that spurs my interest.

I thought the PS3 was the big grey box, if so, it's just a ps2 with a built-in hard drive and dvd recorder and probably some other things(I hear rumours of built-in digital tv). Anyway, if sega were to release a console I'd go for that, I still prefer my pc though, nothing beats a pc and never will.

I think you are thinking of the PSX (not PS1) that was released last year which WAS a PS2 with dvd recorder and stuff, only released in Japan. The PS3 is their next generation console with a lot more power.

I personally use PCs for working on, and consoles for games, if I had games on my PC then I probably would be playing games when I should be working.
