Top 5 CD's listening to at the moment:

Smashing Pumpkins - most are on my plalist, but 'Mellon Collie and the Infinite sadness' is near the top
Lamb - 'Between Darkness and the Wonder'
Daft Punk - 'Homework'
Rammstein - 'Live aus Berlin'
War of the Worlds - original musical version + remixes

Top 5 Bands:

Smashing Pumpkins
REM
Fun Lovin Criminals
Massive Attack
Kylie.... come on, everyone loves a bit of Kylie :D

My favorites in no particular order, and just on the top of my head:

System Of A Down
Soundgarden
Rage Against the Machine
Kaizers Orchestra
David Bowie (well - not really a band)

I guess I could have put Audioslave on that list to - but since I already put down both Soundgarden and RATM....

Anyone heard Velvet Revolver? I think it's funny how the songs from those band-fusions actually DO sound just like both bands combined. (Just hearing their single now)
When saying this I ofcause also think of how Audioslave sound exactly like both Soundgarden and RATM....

I'm rambling...

EDIT: Oh... Rammstein! cool! I'm going to see them in Copenhagen in november

No particular order really
Brand New - I didn't like the album much to begin with but i cant leave it alone now
Nirvana - muddy banks of whiskah live 1 is quite good aswell as all the albums
Bob marley - pretty unoffensive stuff unlike funeral for a friend/finch which a lot of my friends hate but i do like quite a bit
Radio Head - I hate how much i listen to this band nearly all of ok computer is brilliant
Greenday - only 1039 smoothed out slappy hours not so keen on the new stuff
Deftones - most of the time my favourite band : ) modern day wise its this or brand new....

These are the artists that... I can listen to their albums anytime and not get bored of them. Their songs have insanely high playcounts and I rarely dislike a song from them.
  • System Of A Down
  • Aesop Rock
  • Canibus
  • They Might Be Giants
Can't decide on a solid fifth... anyone from Cypress Hill to Royce Da 5'9 to B.I.G. to Outkast to Nas to Alien Ant Farm to Aceyalone to Dilated Peoples.

Any other people who like Punk Rock besides me? Anyways here they are

Man, I must be old or something. I recognise about 25% of the bands listed in this thread!

Anyway, for me it would have to be (in no particular order)

Jodeci
Boyz II Men
Tracey Chapman
Michael Jackson (including Jackson 5)
Jamie Cullum (at the moment – went to see him in the Hammersmith Apollo – awesome performer)

Album of the past 12 months though has to go to Jason Mraz. Saw him at the Royal Albert Hall, supporting Tracey Chapman – bought the album that night on line!

Yes, he's comparing them. That's what the 'unlike' word means.

but there is no need for a comparison because they are complete opposite

like comparing the taste of an apple to the feeling of having a dump in a public place
