I was wondering if the joystick can break and how to fix it if it does. Mine doesnt exaclty feel "tight" and it wigles around. But on the contrary, I really love it as compared to the gba.

Yeah, it does feel rather cheap. But on the contrary, it is Strangely satisfying.

I'm always thinking it would be easy to break, but in all my time as a GP32 Connoisseur I havent heard of one joystick breaking. Thats gotta be good news.

But if it did break, I would have absolutely no idea of how to fix it.

Comical word Joystick though.

I believe it was mentioned that one of the games comes with a replacement joystick (red?), and to replace the original one you simply pull it out and pop the new one in.

So, yes, anything can break, and yes, there are spare joysticks floating around (was it ASR that came with an extra stick? I can't remember).

I love the GP32 stick, it's just like the NGPC which was my favorite controller for portables.

I don't think it will ever break from normal use. It uses microswitches and those are sturdy. Of course, if you drop your GP32 who knows, just be careful.

Don't know about ASR but Her Knights comes with a red one, I have it. It seems exactly the same aside from color, I don't like the red. I put it on once - it's hard to pull the stick off, and it actually sits on a metal shaft (no dirty jokes now...) so the build quality is better than it looks on the outside.

I don`t if it could break or not, Mined you, It`s made of plastic so i suppose it could. :D

Anyway, Threw my GP out the window (10th floor), Screen smashed, Buttons flew off, Case disintegrated. But the joystick was still in one piece. So maybe the joystick won`t break. :D

I love sarcasm.

Her Knights, that's the one I was thinking of. Thanx Nutzo.

If the stick has a metal shaft underneath it, then it's far more likely for one of those microswitches to break than it is for the actual stick to give way.

Yup Her Knights, took me almost a year to realise that there was an extra red joystock in the box :)

first try hitting self in head with brick then hit joystick with head, see which breaks first
