I know its a silly question but i wasn't sure if there's any components in the gp32 that might interfear with the plane? cheers in advance p.s dont laugh

On the plane I went on last year I would have had to have asked permission before I used it. This year is was just while taking off/landing that I wasn't allowed to use it.

So it depends on the plane basically.

Just don't use the RF-Link bit of it...

Thinking of this we HAVE to make sure Gamepark doesn't use a wireless thing for their next console that can't be turned off... I think it ought to have a physical switch (that way it may have yet another advantage over DS/PSP - easier to convince air stewards and such that we actually can use it without interference with the plane).

Pffft, what's the worst that could happen? (Mental image of flight attendant asking bart to turn off his game, and the plane itself powers down) "TURN IT BACK ON! TURN IT BACK ON!"

Should be able to after they turn off the seatbelt lights...Having just come back form holiday myself, I heard an announcement saying you were able to use these items after successful takeoff and when you are flying without the ned for seatbelts. ;)

speaking of ich,if the psp runs on disc you won't be able to use it on aplane, right?i mean, never.but then, emus should run from the memory stick,so that would be ok

If gameboys are forbidden on the plane you better not use your GP32, cause the gp is even worse; I can't use it and my FM radio at the same time!

Hey, did you guys know that most of electronics like a gameboy, gp32, cd player, cell phone, really don't interfere with any of the intruments on the plane. My friend who is a pilot told me this, he also said that the main reason for not letting people use these this is for safety issue.

For example, something goes wrong during a take off or landing, and you have your cd player on full blast, you can't hear, so you won't be able to follow directions. Pretty much, these things are distraction, that in emergencies could cause injuries.

You can use everything, while in flight, expcept RF things(Cell Phone, RF link, Radio).
On start/landing you're nnot permitted to use any electrical things.

The GP doesn't cause harmfull radiation strong enough to interfer with a planes systems!
It even makes fewer noice (in radio) than my laptop and laptops are allowes in planes.

Some airlines even discuss to allow the use of mobiles (read two weeks ago).

I had no problems with my GP flying to London (BA) in May this year.

I used mine recently on a 3hr flight from Madeira to Newcastle. We had 2 near misses and a unexplantory height loss of 5000ft at one point, but I did almost reach the end of Ghouls n Ghosts on Gigadrive.

i used mine on a 9 hr flight to Hawaii, and it was fine.

but then i dropped my SMC down a crack next to my seat and it took me 3 hrs to get it back <_<

Thats just too typical. I bet they thought you were trying to set off a bomb in your shoe or something.
