Is there a way you can set up your gp32 so it can read stuff directly off of your harddrive without using smc space...like put a program on your smc that can read thru the usb port to your computer?

Yes, i suppose so. but then you might as well play the games on your pc or even on a laptop.

It could be theorically possible, this is call NETWORK ;-). If we can get some form of networking via the GP32 then it will surely be possible to write some kind of device/driver that will let you map your harddrive. But this would probably require some other software running on your PC.

Maybe they are some networking solution done using USB cable that we could check? Remind me of the parallel i use in the past to build cheap network for 2 computer.

heh, putting a HD in my backpack and playing GP32 games off it

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET

How about finding some way to get a RF module connected (and working ofcourse) to your PC. That way you would have a wireless connection with your PC from your GP32.

With the proper software you could be reading webpages from your toilet <_<

take two bluetooth dongles, begin mod, program drivers, connect them both, badabing

Christ, if I knew it'd be as simple as that, I would have gotten my 3 year old cousin to mod it weeks ago! Damn Shrike, that's pure child's play!

Perhaps its possible to... so think about it:
you have to have 2 RF Links
1 in your GP32 and another one, which is modified, in your PC (serial or USB)
You would have a cable less connection to your pc.
Then we need a driver... network could be also possible.
The Program and driver on PC would convert the RF signals in some tcpip stuff or you without network in something other :)
On the gp32 you have a special File Manager which could enter the Computer. and Start every kind of software on it.
But i dont know how fast the rf link for gp32 is... so perhaps its not very usable.
Then we should work on a USB Network... wasnt there something like that? Connect to PC through USB....
Hmm think about it

BYE

What about a 802.11b (or a or g, but they would prolly be harder) network? It shouldn't be too hard to mod a adapter, and there might already be one (GP's ext is the same as cell phone's). But the software would be pretty hard :)
