This is of course for playing homebrew not warez as I don't even have a gp32 drive let alon a writer

if anyone wants the files I have set up all ready to be put in the xbox then pm me. It is the audio one.

Indeed the Audio Exploit is outdated.
I can provide people with all the files needed for UDE V1 with FBL and Xcuter 4981.06 but then I would be promoting warez.

I would really love to be able to play some old school emulation on my Xbox however I am not too excited about modding it because I have never performed a mod. Anyway I would really be interested in doing so. Also I am too lazy to download and burn commercial games so I would be wasting my money if I got it for that.

Well softmodding is really easy I can do it in 30 seconds (so far I have experience with three (3) Xbox'en and the first on took me 3 minutes :D) and it rocks for emulation and streaming DivX it certainly opens a whole new way to use the Xbox.

You don't have to open your Xbox for the softmod and it's basically free :D

The main advances of UDE above the Audio are that you can boot straight in a dash of your choice (no finger dancing), it's more stable and a lot faster.

Well can someone tell me how to do this?
I COULD explain it to you but it is probably a lot better if you read a few tutorials yourself. Why? Because it is much better if you know what you are dealing with if something goes wrong.
I suggest you read a few tutorials here but most of those tutorials are out of date the ones with UDE in it are more recent.
Also try reading the pinned topic here.

It can be really confusing at the beginning but it's certainly worth to read more about it :D

Which is the safest? Also I don't have Mech Assualt or a memory card so what do you guys recomend? I seen something called hot swapping?

Its actually really easy just to take it apart and solder the two points on the motherboard and voilaaaa you can flash your bios (with the use of a modded xbox controller and a memory card and a copy of mech assult). Thats how I did it. It worked like a charm. (if you have a 1.0 or 1.1 xbox theres only 2 easy points, with a 1.2-1.6 or w/e, its more).

I did it in 20 mins and i was only 13 with a 18 year old soldering iron (it shorted out after i melted the cable (of the soldering iron), so its dead now.)

Find it alllll at http://www.xbox-scene.com/ under the tutorials section.

But then Xbox Live would be a ´´No-go´´ and you would have to take your Xbox apart.
I tryed exactly the same just to discover that i have a 'ST' TSOP and I would have to solder a lot more wires to get it working also this can't be done on new Xbox'es and requires more wires on old or 'ST' TSOP.

So i just sticked with the softmod.

Dolfin, or anyone...

If you wouldn't mind, could you assure me Live is still in option with UDE2, or whatever it is you are using. My xbox is fairly new and NTSC... and Live is more then half the fun for me.

Ah, many thanks sir.

Action Replay is in the mail... that should do the trick.

I abhor cheating though... so it better work, or I will have another lousy cheating tool sitting in the corner. I bought a Gameshark for my PS2 because it said it would play foreign DVDs.... I later find out it plays everything BUT English DVD's, which is what I bought it for. Grr...
