Nintendo Ds: Final Hardware Design Revealed

So much better.

It would be a PSP hands down for me though if I could play MP3 and my own movies. At the moment, I wont be buying a film just for PSP.

The competition just got better.

Yeah, it looks nice. I read about it on neo-geo.com a little while ago, and somebody brought up the point that it would be very easy to slip your thumb off of the d-pad and hit the power button. What do you guys think of that?

thanks god they finaly haven't keep the shity design of the E3 one ;)
this one seems really better!

I would suspect that the power button would have a time delay, so require to be held for several seconds to turn the power on or off.

That would prevent any possible slippy thumbs.

Ill still be playin this with the hope of worms 3d for ds wifi and other mutiplayer fun.But I really liker the older version alot better. My gbc is not sexy and slick but still delivers a lot of great quality games.

Theres still no anologue stick. For fucks sake, how can they expect Mario 64: the game the stick was designed for to be controlled with a D-Pad?

If they bastardize the greatest game of all time they will have hell to pay.

EDIT: You know...this could be fake...

You don't need an analogue stick. Thats why the stylus is there. The movement is supposed to be better than on the n64 and they said there was no problems with using the d pad. so the stylus is basically the analogue stick except from the fact its like a pencil. It looks horrible in that color. Black would be better.

nah, it won't work, just visualise in your mind the control method and the actions needed to make mario do things like the reverse flip jump, games like zelda would be screwed as well!

Yep -definitely looks nice, but it's still the PSP for me in design terms...
Yeah, I feel the same way. But this is a big improvement on the prototype design...they've taken their inspiration from the original multiscreen game & watch games, I think. A good thing.

EDIT: You know...this could be fake...

I hope not...

Its sounds a bit weird to me how do they expect you to use the directional pad and a stylus while you are on the go. It seems like you'll need something to lean on.

But good to see nintendo have kept the price down at least, compared to sony's PSP.
