I suppose you mean reduced max overclock here, as NEON by itself can't cause it, but even that is only seen with hard-crafted NEON asm.Turns out it is compiled with -mfpu=neon, so maybe removing that will make it more stable...

Yes, I patched it to 1.05 on my Vista laptop before copying the files to the Pandora Classic (see below screenshot).Did you patch Homeworld to version 1.05 before you copied the data over?

I will try OPP3 and switch back to OPP5, to see if it correlates. When it crashes again, I will post the pnd_run.out here,Also, try upping your OPP level in cpu settings.
The game has difficult controls, different camera modes, formation controls and what not. To me this game was challenging to control even with a mouse and a full sized keyboard on a real PC back in the day. It's kind of cool we have it for the Pandora, but difficult to play on it.This game looks beautiful on the Pandora but it's also very difficult... I don't distinguish my ships from the stars or the asteroids... When things get complicated and the screen crowded I don't see a thing
I suppousse it is too much for the Pandora screen.
I'm playing it with a mouse, of course. Sorry but games like Diablo, Starcraft or this one must be nearly impossible to play or enjoy with Pandora's nubs. The game has difficult controls, different camera modes, formation controls and what not. Well Diablo and Starcraft are significantly simpler to control than Homeworld is what I'm trying to get at, those games can almost entirely be played on the mouse alone. Homeworld has several dozen keys that handle everything from camera controls to formation and setting the behavior of you ships. On top of that you are navigating in a 3D space vs just a 2D plane.I'm playing it with a mouse, of course. Sorry but games like Diablo, Starcraft or this one must be nearly impossible to play or enjoy with Pandora's nubs. By the way, Diablo and Starcraft are perfectly playable on the Pandora. I've finished Diablo and Terran mission in Starcraft without a single problem.
Yes, you are right. But, in this particular case, I think the screen size is also a very important factor.Well Diablo and Starcraft are significantly simpler to control than Homeworld is what I'm trying to get at, those games can almost entirely be played on the mouse alone. I used this: https://github.com/timdetering/HomeworldSDLI bought Homeworld and want to try the SDL+linux version on the pc. Unfortunately http://homesource.nekomimicon.net/ is gone, as is homeworldsdl.org.
Wayback machine gives me http://web.archive.org/web/20160901...komimicon.net:80/downloads/stuff_for_testing/
Which version is latest? 0.5alpha from 2007? Are there goodness and fixes in the pandora vers. that these don't have?
