Hi all.
Just a quick note to inform you that I'm leaving the GP32 world, to move the the P800 development...
All my projects for the GP32 (an Amiga game remake, a file manager, a text reader, and the GP32iDE) will be discontinued, due the loss of interest and the flames I got when I asked for informations about the Z... I spent days and every free minute I got working on projects for the community and when I asked an info about another env I received flames, so I lost my nice feelings to the community.. This fact made me turn on another platform, and I decided to move to something REALLY cool. B)

Sorry for the ones waiting for GP32IDE v1.2, but it will remain on my HD!

This is my last topic
Alessandro

What? What do you expect? Us to treat people differently just because they created some projects for the GP32 instead of treating people equally (Except for some dumbasses like counter, gp32animefreak, blipped4, etc.)? Anyways, is sad to hear that you're leaving the GP32.

Sorry to hear that. Just for the record, I never flamed you :)

well it is only a small "flaming" minority so it is sad that you feel that it is really that bad...
why not give your projects out opensource, or do you hate everybody on this board....

Yes, never bite the hand who feeds you, dumbass!
What a great and nice scene do we have, where everyone is treated nicely for asking the same questions over and over again and developers are kicked in the crotch. That's the way...

Yep, but I'ma touchy person...
I don't expect to be trated differently, but since I thought the community was smart I thought not to be flamed... a clear answer could be enought....
For releasing th IDE sources, I have to answer NO... because i've spent months developing the components for DELPHI and optimizing the code... all my efforts and free minutes I got are in the lines of code of the IDE... I don't want to give it away, sorry.

Thanks FloridaRolf for saying that.. it's true ;)

Ops, I forgot to thanks NigeliBrown for hosting my project on his site... Thank you man.. it seems you were the only one who helped me with the project B)

Again

Fuck you and I hope you go to hell. Seriously, doing this is just proving to everyone that you deserved the flames in the first place. Oh yeah, I'm an arrogant asshole who just likes making things worse because it doesn't affect me.

hmmm, just re-read the post

tbh, you weren't even really flamed.

i was the first replier, i just pointed you in the direction of zodiacgamer.com

a couple of posts later and we were discussing pinkspiders alcohol consumption

seriosuly, can everyone else read this:

Alessandro getting "Flamed"

just in case i'm missing some covert flaming?!?

i'm no coder but its still bad to lose someone with talent, i'm sure you'll be missed, just don't try and blame it on flaming

Jesus, what a tame 'flaming' - seriously Alessandro, I think you should grow up a bit instead of throuwing all your toys out of your pram. You were hardly flamed - although I agree that some of the replies weren't constructive considering you posted in the Off Topic board...

Reading your reasons for creating your 'free' IDE it sounds to me like you are just withdrawing it out of spite - why not lead the 'smart' community by example, and turn a blind eye to your 'flamers' and either release the source, or continue developing...

Replies like this don't benefit anybody. Delete this post, and then kill yourself.

It's sad to hear about a developer leaving, although I don't really know much about your projects. Good luck anyway.

Sorry about the way people have treated you. It's a shame that so many people have to suffer for few flamers on the board, I know that your IDE was very popular and I bet that the people who have used it are not the people who flamed you.

Sad to see you go, but good luck with your new projects.

I remember at the begining it was much more easier to moderate. Everything was new, so even so called "stupid" questions were answered without flaming. Today we are big community and it is unvoidable that there would be always a few people who are only happy when they turn discussion into a flame war. We actually can't do nothing about it as even Swiss_Cheeseman who is a member of this board for quite long time posts such a crappy and offensive post. But here is a lot of normal, friendly people and only a few morons so people don't give up. Like on irc, in the channel we can just ignore them. If discussion is changing into a "flame war" just don't answer. Leave those morons without any replys. That's all. No reply = no flame war - it is simple.

And regarding Alessandro reasons. Everybody has own feelings. It is a private matter. We can't judge others comparing to us. For someone his reason are more important than the same reason for another guy. So instead of discussing how weak or not his reasons are beter concetrate on not loosing another great programmer.

 Calm down there!

Anyways, I still don't think we should be acting really special towards devs because, IMO, it's kind of phony. It's like "OMG! Thanks for another free program that I don't have to pay for! Now because I want another version/program, I'll start praising you uncontrollably and let anything you do slide, just so that you'll work your ass off more to get me another free program!"

I'm not saying treat them like scums, but don't let everything slide. Like, if yoyo posted in the wrong forum or asked a n00b question that's in the sticky (Although I don't see that happening :)) I'd still tell him that he posted in the wrong forum and that he should read the sticky because he just asked a question that was answered in there.

I would answer his question.

For example there have been lots of posts about learning how to start programming by many different people recently. If these people had searched the board then they would have found answers to many of their questions, but I don't think there is anything wrong with helping without mentioning this as it is just as easy to write the answer as it is to flame.

Well, I would also answer his question (I do this for a lot of the n00b questions), but I wouldn't forget to mention that it is a common question that's mentioned in the sticky.
