After watching the fantastic macross plus OVA's yesterday, I am left wanting more. As the macross/robotech series' don't seem too gr8. I am left dissapointed and wanting more. I am wondering if any macross fans can recommend me the best macross/robotech game emulateable by GP32. ... Ant....

Gundam Wing: Endless Duel is a fantastic fighting game for snes and is playable w/out sound at low clock speeds
EDIT: sorry, misread. Sad thing is I know their not the same :p . Still highly reccomended nonetheless

Gundam =/= Macross...

Anyway, there's the original Macross on NES, Scramble Valkyrie on SNES, and a Macross 7 GBC title as well. Macross 7 also showed up in Super Robot Wars (Taisen) Destiny on GBA, if that ever gets emulated.

DYRL and Plus are in Super Robot Wars Alpha (PSX), Super Robot Wars Alpha Side Story (Gaiden) (PSX), and Super Robot Wars Alpha DC (DC), all of which I would recommend importing.

not a game but have you seen the new macross zero series? really really good, if you get a chance, have a squizz

cheers everyone. I aint seen macross zero yet unfortunately as I'm waiting for a Manga / ADV Films release. However I've heard it's better than macross plus which I find difficult to believe. I've just finished Princess Mononoke and I am shocked to find a PG so great. (abit of topic there)

Saw the 1st 2 parts of Zero and its not too good imo. Characters aren't great aside from Roy and the scientist chick. Can't remember a thing about the main character he's so lame and devoid of personality.
Scrambled Valk on SNES is decent. Played it alot on GP when I 1st got it.
Try to get the ISO of VFX2 for PSX is you want a much better Macross game. Or Macross VO for PC.

Macross 2036 (horizontal scolling shooter) and Macross - Eternal Love Song (turn-based strategy).... both for the PC-Engine. Fab games and excellent soundtracks (with proper voice acting!).

Shame there's no way of emulating PC-Engine CD's on the GP32.

There are also 3 Macross arcade games (the first of which I think is by far the best) which are emulated by MAME (though the first does not have sound... which is a true shame).
