Loved the amiga classic ... BUT i could not get passeda certain level.. ithink it was two. You have to go into a room and get something, but you could not jump high enough to get it... and so had to reboot again... Something like that..!
Thanks.

EDIT: Also, the emulator seems to emulate a 6 button controller, but only 3 buttons are mapped, making Mortal Kombat 1, 3 and Ultimate unplayable.
wait..............dont you just press start to change between punches and kicks? im pretty sure i used to have to do that when i played mk using my 3 button controller

Possibly Ryleh has accidentally left in the GenesisPlus original code for 6-button support, but has only mapped half of the buttons, so the game incorrectly thinks a 6-button controller is plugged in.

(Or maybe GenesisPlus doesn't support 3-button controllers at all, in which case Forgotten Worlds won't work on it.)

Fdave gigadrive 0.023 is sweet (like everyone else has mentioned). Only a few games work with sound.

Is there a definitive cut off point of games with sound? I noticed games prior to 1992 work with sound e.g. Sonic 1, Streets of Rage.

p.s. Spray i share your pain. Brian Lara is a great game. DAMN if only it worked for gigadrive.

Anyone get any EA Sports games to work? I think they all have the same problem. THey don't start up at all.

I'm still unable to get the following working with either fgen betas or gigadrive:

Worms
Winter Olypmics
Brian Lara '96.

Am i using bad dumps or regions, anyone had any luck?

Why not try them in Gens to be sure?
[me] bangs head in stupidity [/me]

they do all work in gens!

so fdave, or rlyeh, any idea if theres a particular issue surronding these three?

Well I imagine Genesis Plus would support them, so it's probably a Cyclone issue - which fails the earliest on? I'll try stepping through it with Cyclone?
Might be Saturday now though...

All the EA sports games came on massive carts with that odd yellow tab, I'm guessing they were bigger?

I haven't really got a clue what I'm talking about to be honest.

I remember hearing those yellow tab things were part of the way EA handled save games. Supposidly they have a battery inside them which runs out after a few years and you need to get a new one fitted.

Not as far as I know. EA games and Codemasters games were typically just written with less knowledge of the hardware than the eastern games, as such they use non-standard methods to program it and are harder to emulate.

The EA intro in particular is a bitch to get right (but I've done it before now so I know the pitfalls)

It's similar now to the way that Sony in-house games usually use the hardware better. ... Usually!

Having said all this though, I still suspect a Cyclone bug is causing these games to fail in both emulators.

Can you remember the regional protection system?? I had a Japanese import Megadrive and it had a cartridge lock that came out when you turned the power on, so that American/Euro carts wouldn't work in it. (The Jap carts had a notch in them that the lock would go into.) There was an easy fix though... simply remove the cartridge lock (little bit of plastic!). I can still remember the smell of my new Megadrive ahhhhhhhh
