Is ther a way we could either create / convert a section where newbies are allowed to ask ANY question no matter how stupid (Including can it emulate a PSX) and have specfic members that dont mind answering the same questions over and over again go in and answer without flaming..... almost like a help desk of some sort..

It seems good to me, but it shouldn't come up on the main page, that way everyone who doesn't feel like helping (Flamers) don't come. ;)

Yes, it is a nice idea, but it shouldn't become the equivalent of an "idiot-flaming-room", we must respect everybody (Eve lovers too).

Yeah, it should have a "flaming edited by mod" policly at least at the begaining to really make sure that this area is as Noob friendly as possible. B)

What the help area was ment to be: (From the board discription)
This is a forum for very new users and not only, there is no such thing as a stupid question in here. Have a problem? Just ask for help.

I think thats a good idea but I dont think it would take care of everyone. People are always posting questions in the wrong sections. Maybe if there was a link on the main page that said "Ask any question here!" or "Complete Newbie Forum"

I agree; I believe that this board will be flooded with n00bs soon (euro launch and flu price drop) and its gonna get really annoying for those who are easily angered. The front page would be the best spot for it too

Even better leave the n00b board up top so all the idiots see it and have the normal forums on the bottom, it would cause alot of confusion but less hassle if you want to be like that. But why don't you just try and help the newbs, we've all had problems someway or another or needed help with our gp32's, so why not help others? gp32_console has been a friendly community, but every so often some J3WV3J 55V spams the boards and is an ass..... I have no clue why but W3, M3J)5!

I just say help other gp32 users in there time of troubles and it'll help improve the whole community... That and why can't everybody quit hounding developers for releases, just thank them for the releases they make and be nice about it!

Just leave it as it is...

To be honest, most noobs seem to respond quite well to the 'Use the Search function' type responses, and if they don't they're not likely to contribute much to the community anyway...

It's only one or two who have recently got peoples backs up, and it wasn't dificult to spot the offending topics on the front page (great tip - give yourself an extra long username to stand out)...

Being a newbie(at least around here), I'd say a special forum would be nice, a place to get a quick answer if you can't find it with the search function. I've been reading up on this board for a week or two now, and most threads assume you know about a subject to a certain extent. For example, I'm going to buy a GP32, but was doubting between flu and non-flu. You can't find anything about the difference in visibility, and as the difference in price is quite big(or *was* quite big) I needed some good opinions from users who have them. Luckily I found the answer(a short summary of the differences) in the FAQ, but it is something that could be worth a question in a newbie forum.

And indeed, a lot of newbies have the urge to post topics without searching or anything in the nearest by forum, so to have effect it should be on top :).

Why not just start a poll and see whether people like the idea of a n00b section ready for the Euro Launch?
Done :D

I doubt you're gonna see newbies using it. There's still gonna be massive ammounts of posts where they shouldn't be.
