for those who absolutely want to see battle animations in gp32war, i've just made a little map pack for it that include them... you can find it at www.egloo.fr.st ...

W00000t thanks AquaFish :p

Btw : Are you still working on advance wars? The game is almost perfect (it would be great to see harbours and airports), but the editor could be improved..

Aqua..you treat me right. I was talking to dobberman about changes that should be made and I guess I should talk to you instead. Im a fan of this game. But for now I think i prefer the fast paced play of no animations. I dont need it for a good time. Maybe im mistaken but can anything go across water now? I reinstalling the gbax version now because somehow I messed it up. DAMN GOOD WORK.

I would love to see..snow areas, mountainous areas. Basically just visual extras. Maybe you could release different packs with these if they would take up too much room. I would waste the space on them surely. I wish I could remember all my other ideas for this masterwork.

Bug: level 11 easy. Invisible troops. I discussed this with doberman.

i don't mean to blow anyone's bubbles but if we have a perfect gba emulator, can't we play advanced war with sound and animation? (no offence to aqua) just a thought

if..which we dont. So, GO AQUA. Either way. He can make it even cooler because he can change things according to our/his needs if he pleases. You could say that about so many of the games we have now, are ports/remakes not acceptable anymore?

First of all that would be illegal beside's that Nintendo's Advance Wars doesn't allow us to load custom map, custom units, new campains and all the other good stuff.

Beside's that when are we going to have a Full Speed GBA emulator?

It's great to hear your still working on it ;P I can't wait for the new version!

Actualy you can make custom maps but you cant create custom stories like Aquafish can if he wants to.Glad to see you're working one the battle animations, most turnbased war games give you the choice of viewing or not viewing... (acutally everyone i've played has but I wanted to offer the benefit of a doubt.)

Yes, if we have a perfect Xbox emulator we could play Halo as well, so what is your point?

thanks! i hope you've also played with the tomak compo's version (i've made 2 differents versions for the 2 contests...)

ok i'll try to do that... thanks for the idea...

oups... i've already corrected several maps that have similar bugs , i've maybe forget to do that with this map...

yep, i'll also do that...

Will you get the movement for ait units, and the attacks right? Cuz it strange when a fighter jet uses 3 points to go over a mountain, can't go over water, when a bomber can attack a fighter jet, and when I attack an infantry with mine (both on mountain), I end up with two, and it three.... Unless I accedentally attacked infantry with a bazooka, or bazooka with infantry (4got which is better in a battle, haven't played the real thing in a while).

Hi Guys!

I'm allready working on new maps with your suggestions.
I also changed the water and rivers so that planes and helis can walk over it - slow but it works.
You can download the small update here (just replace the old 2 files):

Ooops- My stupidity! Ouch my brain hurts... :p

This is the point. At first the animations look very nice and you turn them on. But if you play longer the animtions will start to getting on your nerves.... (My opinion)

It's great to hear you're still working on gpwar! I'm looking forward to see new versions of the game and the editors...

Greetings to Aqua- DoberMann

Cheers Aquafish, this rocks. Its what made (in my opinion) the GBA worth owning, now having a potentially better version on the GP32 (being able to disable the anims makes me very happy) really is fantastic news, thanks again

Another Idea: I think that when a unit has been destroyed you could have it be replaced with rubble of the color of the unit. Maybe some scortch marks. They could disappear when either a unit goes over top of them or a full turn passes. That would be awesome. I thought of this when my friend was playing the game and looked away at the end of his turn and when he looked back freaked out because all of his troops "disappeared" of course he said because of a "glitch in the game" we all know it was because he got pwn3d.
