Oh pah, stop whining you UK'ers. If we tried to have a U.S gathering i'd end up having to fly for 10 hours just to get there. Since chances are it would be on the East coast or West coast, and I live smack dab in the middle of the country. :p
You have a point. Thing is, public transport is a hell of a lot more expensice here than over there.

There IS national express, but then you do want to arrive sometime in the same week that you leave :p

Yup. I definititly agree; I've had nothing but problems with the train.

April 2nd 2002 : Mark's trip to Manchester

Get to train Station.
Get told train late.
Get told that dead body is on track, trains aren't running.
Get on coach to Manchester.
Stops and tells us to get off somewhere that isn't Manchester, get on train there.
Train late.
Train arrives, but is already full. We stand up in toilets.
Get off in Manchester 4 hours later.

Fun :p

Though you gotta say - the poor guy on the tracks had probably had a worse time than you did that day.

To be honest, I think that the people actually posting their opinions have more credibility than the poll results. London (which I voted) would still be easiest for me though.

But... I sold my GP and havent bought another one. I'd like to ask anyone who went last year if it would matter that much. I'd really just like to meet you guys.

Of course it doesn't matter. A lot of chinwagging was had by all last year, and there were a fair few who came along with friends etc that didn't have GPs.

Can someone PLEASE finalise somthing, this topis have been goin on way to long, my vote is london as then ppl from france (such as yoyofr!!!) and the rest of europe have an easier time gettin there if they wanna come

With any luck I wouldn't need to stay over... 3 1/2 hour journey there and same again back... basically, just means I have to leave at 4-ish, which isn't bad...

yeah great, lets have it in Dover so that everyone in France can come, but noone in the UK can come.

It should be somewhere near the middle of the country so that most people can attend.
