i am seriously arguing with myself to get one of these or not. If i get one I have to sell my GBA and all of its game ;_; and maybe some GBC colour games as well....
but that should cover the costs off buying it from gbax.com with a 128mb SMC...175 quid acording to a friend who bought one
but I have been doing my research and I know that a GBA emu is in the works (thank god) and hopefully a MD one as well
but my questions are
1) can it play all forms of video ie divx mpeg avi
2) is it compatible with all ROM's out there? for other PC emus just running them on a GP instead?
3) can the offical games have the language filess hacked and stuff? i just canne stand looking at foregin subs¬_¬
anyhoo, i need you! the experts to help me

1/ DIVX4 at 10FPS only (yet :D)
2/depending of many params ; emulation is not an exact science :D
3/in theory it's possible but it's usually a hard work , i don't know if there's one fan-translated game yet

hmmm 10 fps, that wouldn't look too bad, especially with an anime or the simpsons or something

*can it also play .avi's or would you have to convert into divx format?*

I'm Selling my gbc and games - Landstalker on the megadrive - and Panzer Dragoon Saga (which is fetching quite a bit - heading towards £100!) so thats How I'm funding it...

I may sell Dragon Force for the saturn but wanna keep shining force 3 for now..

Do reckon saturn games will be available on the net with the future with a good emulator? as I Don't seeing panzer dragoon saga going!

but the gp32 will bring me more pleasure

also, i got told the only way to fit a video on would be to re-encode it for lower resolution and stuff
anyone got experience with this and does it still work?

yep you have to re-encode with DIVX 4.2 (not 5 or anything :D ) , 10FPS, and gp32's resolution ,
and limit the audio the same way too

you can't read hi-res standard video with moviepark , that means you have to re-compress everything you want to watch because who would compress a divx this way if it's to watch on a computer or tv screen ?
