Worst Game Music

I thought it would be interesting to ask everybody else what the worst game music was....here's mine...last night, I popped in my Limited Edition Christmas Nights game for my Saturn, I beat it, and was treated to the most horrible song I've ever heard as the ending music...if anybody else has played this game then you know what I'm talking about, the lyrics are horrible, and the lady singing sounds like a boy as his voice cracks from puberty.

BTW, SONIC R HAS THE BEST GAME MUSIC EVER.....IIIINNNN TTHHHE CITTTYY

The game music in Final fantasy XI is pretty annoying, especially after you play the game for awhile because its just the same dull music over and over. Luckily there is a way to change it. :)

hmmm.. tough one. my friends and i decided long ago, 1942 on NES ("tap-tap-tap!!tap-tap! tap-tap-tap-tap-tap!!) was pretty irritating, but I am not sure if it's worse than the grating, uh, "music" of slime world on Atari Lynx. It was so harsh that it was funny though.

Best Game Music? Hm. Jet Grind Radi-oooooo, Ninja Gaiden (NES) or Maybe Mega Man 2... also a hard call. I also love the tunes in Thunderforce games (Sega Genesis) and Einhander (PsOne)

(honorable mentions: the transformers theme in the famicom game "doo-dooo-doo-doo-doooooooo!" How appropriate) and the "Sonic Boom" song in Sonic CD - that song is just too damn hilarious)

ha ha, great topic!

Replay music on the Sega Rally Championship. It sounded funkey at the time, but then I realised it was pre programed into keyboards too. It gets really annoying. And then that guys voice.

Warhawk on the c64 has a terrible extremely high pitched note in its title song.

But that also makes te sid cool :p (very 'analoguey)'

tip: just google 'warhawk.sid' by rob hubbard

the worst tune ever is the in-game-music of "Bobby is Going Home" ("Bobby geht nach hause") on the Atari 2600.

One of the best tunes ever is the in-game-music of "The killing game Show" on the Amiga 500.

What? I just love that tune - although I do know what you mean by the high pitched noted... those 5 sec of the song really makes you want to die.
Actually I like that tune so much, that I once arranged it for electric guitar... And it sounded wicket B)
Rob Hubbard is a genious.

errrr... worst? I don't really know. I have a really hard time dealing with most 8-bit gamemusic other than that of C64-games. That is why, allthough I love SMS-emulation for GP32, I never play with sound on... Niether on NES.

Played and completed X-mas nights... what annoyance that was. I can't - thank god - remember more than that, but it was truly awful lol. Like badly dubbed jpop.

I'll have to get Christmas NiGHTS and see. Do you guys have originals or copies?

I have the original, they're hard to find, even on Ebay, there's only a few, but I don't think they're that expensive, yet. They may go up in value since they were released in a gaming magazine and there's not as many of them around as a normal Saturn game.

Just checked ebay, with 10 hours left, they're are a couple that are going for around $20 now. Thats not bad for a Saturn game, but Panzer Dragoon Saga goes for over $100

Original here too. Came with my Saturn (and I think a controller too, though I sold the one with the controller fairly quickly - no point in having 2 copies; maybe that was normal Nights though).

Could you actually buy X-mas Nights separate to a Saturn back in the day? I only remember seeing it packaged with a console which doesn't bode well for finding a copy. Or maybe it does; its a fun game, by all means (just horrible ending music).

You could, of course, just try and find an .mp3 of the ending music. There's bound to be one somewhere. Find a Nights fan site or something...

EDIT: You can find MP3s of both NiGHTS soundtracks (but not X-mas Nights ones) http://www.megat.co.uk/museum/ there.

Worst? BM 1 for Gameboy

The best? Jet set Radio Future!

Ey now stop playing with thaqt radio, i'm trying to get some sleep! (let moma sleep)

Well I relly want to play NiGHTS again too, so I think I will buy Christmas nights, and a 3D controller. NiGHTS will come after.

BTW, It came packaged with the offical Sega Saturn Magazine, as did the whole first disc of Panzer Dragoon Sage, not bad compared to the shit they attached to PSone magazine.

well, if you want the 3d controller, the regular nights game came with the 3d controller, so it would probably be cheaper to buy them together than seperate.

BTW, i love the saturn 3d controller, even with fighting games its the only controller i use. I let my friends use the other crappy controllers i have.
