LOL, all I ever get is "Thank you" this and "Thank you" that. Doesn't anyone have some constructive critisism or anything? I'd like to know what you guys think of it and what you think is most important.

Feedback is really a nice thing. Don't worry about busting my chops, I'm not gonna run away if you tell me my emu sucks. I tell people it sucks all the time!

Anyways, someone actually tell me what they think of my program so I can try and make it better, ok?

Ok, in puzzle Bobble part of the screen is flickering sometimes and makes it kinda hard to play or figure out your score. Also guilty gear has graphical errors while your fighting (certain animations get all garbled) and sometimes characters loose there colors...

I may have more info later, but I just uploaded and check to see if these two were still messed up ;P

Ok, rainbow islands has rainbows that sometimes aren't there and sometimes are and when a face changes during a cutscene it changes pallette slightly

Have a good day Rattboi!

I think that display of the original console in background definitely sucks, it gives a cheap aspect.
edit: yeah, I know I can remove it, but it's still no good.

Hmm, I just added the backgrounds last night.

I actually thought it looked really nice. I suppose it'd be really easy to make it an option. I'll keep that in mind for the next release.

What I'd really like is the ability to make the emulator go at the full speed of the GP32 (and not the game) without sound. Little John has this by hitting the Left Shoulder button. I'm guessing this just skips the wait loop entirely. It really helps in situations where you need to go long distances in games.

Compatibility is very good and I have not realize in ANY graphical error. Also, the video mode like a "real" wonderswan (with the picture of a black WS) is very good and I like it very much. SO I like very much the backgrounds :) The only thing is speed, but you know it :)

Very good job with very good emulator.

Yours,

what percent speed does this emulator run at
it sounds really good

i am not expecting very high speed

of course, sound and fullspeed, but you heard that enough for now.
here are some details i thought about:
- Autoframeskip
- Animated Savestates (like fgen32) or with a picture (os9xgp)
- Enable MOD playing :p (choose mod file from smc and play it while gaming B) )
- do smth with L/R ! For example, as mentioned, someithing like in LJGP32 or make screenshot or somthing like that.
- Movie recording. the october 03 beta from fNES32 features this little cool gimmick. maybe you can ask rlyeh? i know you know him well :)

edit: of course, so far, superb work!!

Unfortunately I’ve not been able to try the emu out yet (largely due to a lack of any roms), but while you are asking there are a few things that I have always thought would be cool for emus but have been a bit reticent to suggest…

Emus can end up with lots of settings to tweak, which, although really good in terms of flexibility, can get as confusing as hell. How about a few presets for the settings on the main menu and all the detailed settings tucked away on a sub-page?

When it comes to sound it’s better to have *some* sound rather than none at all but at the same time it’s annoying when the sound impacts the speed. How about being able to choose which sound channels to enable? This way we could enable just the fx or just the music or whatever – similar to GPEngine in fact.

Further to what generalmx said about the fastforward idea like in LittleJohn, how about a selectable frameskip for this? Those impatient souls amongst us could whack this up to 20 so that pressing the skip button would get us past those annoying intros and onto the start screen in no time at all.

I hope the suggestions are more of a help than an annoyance ;)

johncross85: I actually already do have everything in seperate submenus, so it shouldn't be too confusing.
As far as sound goes, I am planning on adding some sound in one of the next versions. I've never done anything with sound before, so it should be interesting. There's no extra CPU on the WS for sound though, so hopefully it shouldn't slow it down *too* much.

Wolfsclaw: Yes, I know speed and sound are the most important things to add, but they are also quite the hardest. I'll be working on it though. Also, the L/R buttons already do stuff. The wonderswan has 11 buttons, and the gp32 only has 10. I use one just for menus and such, so that's 9. Anyways, the L/R are mapped to other WS directional pad buttons. I suppose I could change this, but if I want it to stay configurable, I may need to get some new menu code. I already planned this, but I didn't think I'd actually NEED it, I just wanted it.

Hooka: I think all those graphics bugs are related. I already know what the bug is, I just need to figure out a way to fix it :p Well, the palette ones may be something else. I'll have to check.

generalnmx: You mean like a fastforward feature. I really don't think much would come to that, since there's no waiting already! Maybe if I turned frameskip to like 30 while you held a button, but some games aren't fullspeed at fs10 because the emulated CPU sucks so much. Sorry.

Enslaved: I know there's no icon. I'd like one, if someone wants to draw me one up. A title screen would be nice too.

diablo2: You are right not to expect too much. The speed isn't very good with most games, and there's no sound. If you read my interview with Hooka, I explain the main reasons for this, but I'm working on making it as good as I can. I hope you like it anyways.

this emulator sounds great
by the time its fullspeed the translation might be done

that would be a great thing to have a gp32
this is the only handheld i am ever going to need
