Will There Ever Be Sdio Support

there have been a few threads about it, and people have said there is no open source driver, so is it fully impossible to get sdio on the gp, or could it be done with a lot of work, because it seems like that would make it dramatically more awesomer
 
There's no open source stack for SDIO, and no stack, open or otherwise, for Linux. So, yeah, it's basically impossible, from my humble technical understanding.

It would be sweet. I wonder if it'd be possible with Windows CE or whatever it's called. That's probably a whole new set of issues, by itself.
 
SDIO is supported on a Hardware level all that remains now is a driver wich as stated earlier is the hardest part.
