Yeah, cause white on black, just like green on black, means hackers.
Yes, and everyone who used a computer in the seventies was a hacker.

I totally want a dog now just so I can name it "Chair"
Dogs have never been so dinner-table friendly! "Come 'ere Chair! Stand, Chair, stand. Stay. Stay standing. Good boy!" :D

Edit: On second thought, poor dog. :(

L: Stop lying to me. I know you're hacking our computer.
;;;
(For the record, I was editing xorg.conf to make X work again. :p)
You should have said, "I'm just fixing my computer."

I'm currently using Arch Linux and have been running Linux since 2007. It's fun once you get it mostly figured out.

funny I know someone who was a child like that... I think he was actually encouraged by his parents though LOL

LOL telnet ... sneaky

also please note that the comments on the page are circa 2001 so this is really really old news ... still funny though :)

hahaha, i remember the first time i read that article, i was crying from laughter. it's hard to pick a favorite part from that mess, but i'd have to say the paragraph about AMD was where i totally lost it.

"AMD is a third-world based company who make inferior, "knock-off" copies of American processor chips."

That article has to be a fake, it's just too stupid!
It's not a fake. It's satire. Adequacy.org is a satire site. Like The Onion.

That's very true, but the original article (which I can't find, this was the closest) wasn't so obviously far-fetched and was pretty funny.

When the author started using names like Lunix, linking to Lunix.com it seemed pretty obvious to me it was a spoof. Shame really, up till that point it could have been real (in my mind).

Well that's actually not too untrue...

anyway I remember I once saw this illustration for a german computer magazine, it was like showing a "hacker"

What was their way of showing you the guy was a hacker?
-His shirt had the word "hacker" on it (seriously!)
-the image colors were inverted
-he was using a laptop with one hand and a desktop with the other (typing on two keyboards) at once

oh yes, his shirt said "hacker"
