Of the Calendar and World Clock? They do squat in terms of useability.

Also, how do I set reminders, dates, alarms, etc? I can't find a single thing that lets me.

I don't know if I ever used the world clock but if it works the way that...well....a world clock should, then that's very handy if you forget time zones and have friends in other countries.

The calendar is completely useless though because you can't make notes on it. If you could jot down reminders on it it would be helpful but unfortunately that's not the case. Maybe someone should make a legitimate calendar sometime :)

Also I believe you have to use the timer for alarms, which was kind of upsetting. I was hoping this could replace my DS as an alarm clock but setting a timer to countdown several hours just doesn't seem right to me.

I think early pre-production firmwares had the ability to add events to calendar days, and also a simple notepad with touch-screen keyboard. The problem was that they saved everything on NAND, and when you upgraded your firmware everything got wiped. It would be nice if GPH brought these apps back, and have them save their data on the SD card instead.

I was thinking of making a simple calendar a while ago, I'll come back to it if there's any interest :)

You have no idea how helpful that would be for me. One of the main reasons I got the wiz was to hopefully use it as a sort of PDA. I'm HORRIBLE with birthdays and dates, ><

By the way, you make really great games. :)

If you ever need any help, graphics-wise, I'm more than happy to help :D

It doesn't actually work as a world clock, but instead just tells you + or - GMT, but doesn't actually give you a clock. =/ It's pretty lame that you have to derive the time yourself.

IMHO most applications are lame, but I don't need most of them anyways. I didn't expect expect the Wiz to act as an PDA, but some really basic (a bit less basic than the current one ;) ) calender would be very cool.

What I'm REALLY missing is a decent music player but I'm pretty confident we'll get one.

A confidence that is slowly trickling away from me...

I'm starting to realize the main downside of the open source community. How slowly it progresses ><

Not complaining guys, just saying. But for me, the Wiz is my main entertainment. (I have no money for consoles or anything at all).

Well the world clock thing is still not USELESS though, having the + or - just means doing a small bit of math, and it's still handy if you forget time zones.

After all, even if the addition wasn't so simple you at least do have a calculator right there! :)

That doesn't happen with any commercial console. And as money seems to be your main concern: I think the wiz was a very good choice for you, couldn't think of any alternative atm.

Wiz could be a replacement for a zodiac. But no coder will do simple PIM like the ones from palmos. It's a shame. Zodiac still wins.
