What Format Do You Need A Rom To Be So You Could Run It On An Emulator

leicamaster, you have to be more specific if you want help.

Start with this: WHICH emulator are you using?

Don't just say SNES, because there are three different SNES emulators on GP2X.

Secondly, tell us exactly where on your SD your SNES roms are kept, and what exact format they are in (file extension, zipped/unzipped?)

1. my roms are zipped
2. the nes emulator im using is gpfce
3. the snes emulator im using is squidgesnes 0.37a

Well in SquidgeSNES, your roms can be stored in one of two places:

1) in <SD>:\roms\snes\
2) in <directory you installed SquidgeSNES>\roms

Then go into the Settings menu within the emulator and toggle "absolute ROM path" to switch between the two choices above.

For GPFCE, put roms in <SD>:\roms\nes\

btw this information is in both emus' readme files. Always try looking there first.
