I have Designed and priced a voltage convertor PCB it has the following properties:
1/ MAX1722, Step up convertor, switchable between 3.3 and 5V
2/ TXB0108, 8 Bit Level convertor, Though t keep the board size doen only 6 bits of conversion are available
3/ LP3990TL 1.8V regulator, Needed for the level convertor,
The board has the form factor of a 16 pin SPDIP that is 572mil x 390 mil (14.6mm x 10mm)
There are cheap sockets for this form factor available from Digikey.
