Well I encoded 8 episodes of kenshin into one big file, then using VirtualDub i cut the the big file into the individual episodes using "Direct Stream Copy". The first file is fine and works great on MoviePark, whoever the rest of the others do not work unless i load and play (not it its intirety, but just to start MoviePark) the first file first. Furthermore, once those files start working the audio starts about 2-3 seconds after the video starts, a problem that gets fixed if i fast forward the video. Does anyone know how to fix this, or could suggest a better way of splitting the file.

Try "scan video stream for errors." Keep the file on "direct stream copy," and then save the file.

If that doesn't work, then I suggest indiviually reencoding each file. I'm guessing you originally combined the files to save time in encoding. I wouldn't ever suggest doing this, as you probably noticed it can cause problems after you split them.

Download the shareware version of "Avi Fix Repair Joiner" and scan them for errors, usually fixes my dodgy stuff but you only have a certain amount of scans as its shareware (unless u use a keygen...)

Hello, I tried both of your suggestions and both seems to fix half the problem. Both methods fixes the audio/video problem, but not the other one. I still have to load a working video file before loading them. Thanks for the help, but i guese i'll have to encode them separately next time.
