Hey guys, I was reading up on Microsoft Sync (http://www.syncmyride.com/#/home/) - and it looks like a pretty cool product (i.e. voice activated control over music while driving, leaving hands free, etc).
I then thought, "Eureeka! I bet the Pandora could do this." And it would be installable on any car. You can only get Sync on a limited number of cars and it has to be factory installed. Pandora is less money and more flexible.
Just think, you could power the Pandora through the AC adapter - hook up a hard drive with all your songs on it, and use Pandora's built-in mic to execute commands like, "Play [Artist Name] [song]" or "Next track", etc...
I would buy the Pandora just for this functionality alone.
I wonder about the feasibility, though, and how far the open source community has come in the realm of speech recognition.
What do you think?
