Any other Mac users out there able to confirm whether this is common/curable?

Moving stuff to and fro on the card-reader is getting lame already, which is a shame as otherwise I'm damn impressed with my Xmas present!

Here's the error messages I get in console.log when I plug it in - any clues there?
(This is 10.3.9 on a Powerbook)

when i got mine, i tryed USB (Mac os x.4 imac g5) and it showed absolutely nothing, your not aloe in your problem :)

It worked straight away on my mac mini, but not on my powerbook. It worked fine on the powerbook once I tried a USB 1.1 hub with it. Even though I can now have it working on either machine with no problems, I still find it simpler and quicker to use a card reader.

Your gp2x is probably absolutely unrecoverably broken. I suggest getting a PSP, or searching before posting.

I have an iMac G5 and could never get it to mount (when the gp2x was still alive). But I have heard that if you use the port on your keyboard, it will work because it is usb 1.1.

Never got to try it but it is worth a shot.

Well, no problems on my powermac g4 "quicksilver" with 10.3.9 or 10.4.3. I am using an usb-2.0-pci-card and there is no difference between a card reader or the gp2x (with firmware 1.0.0 or 1.1.0) himself - there is always an icon on the finder if connected.

Thanks for all the responses guys, I tried it on my old iMac, and it recognises it with no problem, but I think a card-reader's going to be more convenient...

reallynotnick's advice is good to remember -- I checked and the Mac keyboard acts as a USB 1.1 hub, so that looks like another way round the problem.

Sorry to have wound Tara up, but the forum search returns no results for 'USB' :(
